I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Volkswagen. My vehicle unexpectedly failed while I was in Branson, MO, leaving me stranded with no warning signs beforehand. I had to pay nearly $1,000 out of pocket for towing and a rental car, and despite the circumstances, Volkswagen declined to assist with any of those costs. To make matters worse, it took 7 days to complete the repair. Being without a vehicle for that long while traveling was incredibly stressful and inconvenient. I expected better support and accountability, especially given the situation. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Volkswagen to others.

I purchased two Volkswagen vehicles in the last 7 years - the first (a 2016 VW Jetta) had an oil leak, and the second, on my current 2022 VW Taos, had a slow coolant leak from the head gasket. This is a known manufacturing defect with my make/model/year (TSB 15-23-01 / Transaction 2071245/1). Volkswagen denied warranty coverage for wrong coolant but refused to provide any technical evidence supporting their claims that this caused the leak. They also refused to engage with me regarding the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and if/how it related to my case. Volkswagen's dealership in Austin, Texas had significant trouble diagnosing and repairing my vehicle, costing me thousands of dollars and nearly 4 months while the dealership tried to repair my vehicle. My vehicle underwent 5 consecutive repairs during that time, and I had two open cases with Volkswagen Customer CARE. From my experience, the Volkswagen Customer CARE team is not there to support the customer. They are there to act as a human shield for the company and to make you feel like you're getting somewhere. They simply repeat canned corporate responses like "we stand behind our dealerships' diagnoses", "we're sorry about the issues you're experiencing", etc. without offering adequate support or compensation. VW Customer CARE opened a buyback case on my behalf and said I would hear back within 60 days. When I called in at 60 days, they said they changed their timeline without notice and that cases are now decided in a minimum of 75 days. After putting me through a horrific nearly 6 month experience due to their dealership's inability to diagnose and repair their own vehicles, they denied my buyback case and did not offer any kind of compensation or settlement. I cannot express how disappointed I am with this brand and company and would strongly recommend consumers steer clear of them.

Kept ignoring the question I asked and offering an irrelevant answer. Repeated attempts finally provoked a response that any future enquiries (about the unexplained decision to not provide map updates for the GPS in my Golf) would be filed without being read. Customer service is clearly an alien concept in VW in Germany and the UK.

Volkswagen don’t wait to hear the customer concerns:They talk over you, they are rude, That Stephanie, @ Winston Salem location is very rude , never listen, Why would you put a car on diagnostic to fix a side view mirror they wanted me to pay 189. Dollars for then to check a side view mirror, that’sshaking when the car is driven .What kind of people do they have working their Stephanie, is only their for a check she’s not there to help the customers, She doesn’t even listen to what the problem is, And Michael from service Department in Durham is rude and nasty at all times he’s a manager but he has to put car on diagnostic to fix a sideview mirror to stop it from shaking , because it looks as if it going to fall off just the glass part, He’s a service manager and can’t fix that??? He is a Terrible manager an doesn’t know his job, Stephanie is even worst She’s always talking down on black people as if you are not a person, Then when I talked to her She send me a text telling me to call her at my number, my number, my own number to talk to her, to talk to her on my number, That shows you exactly how she cares about the customers, Can you imagine what the customers go thur with her and Micheal, They are Terrible!!!!

So Vw promote an extended test drive on the new T Roc because they can’t shift them . I have previously had the old model and visited no less than 3 dealerships !! Not one can offer more than 30 minutes. No wonder Chinese dealers are amazingly successful because they actually want to help real customers. Perhaps the sales people should read the ads and the memos . 1/10

Bah houia ! VW, pour moi VW ! BMW,MERCEDES, dans le rouge niveau vente ! Super voitures, Van et durables ! Il est que la production Chinoise est moins coûteuse et à l’achat , à mon avis pas plus sophistiquées même logicielement comme on a l’air de le dire ! Dommage qu’une partie du logiciel soit payant chaque année et peut être aussi le coup du service après vente qu’ont nous prend pour des vedettes du cinéma en France et en Europe et dans la concession où je suis allé la 1er fois on m’a prit pour un Schtroumpf se sentant tout puissant , je signale, à l’accueil ! Pas les mécanos ! Du coup terminé malgré les promotions qui ne suivent pas de cette enseigne ! Quand tu te renseignes on te réponds jamais Alain ……! Bien dommage ! Encore un coup d’épée dans l’eau ! À suivre dans le temps ! Après comme tous véhicules des pannes qui arrivent par l’obsolescence voulue pas forcément graves que j’arrives à trouver moi sans que le véhicule soit immobilisé parce que pas de véhicule de remplacement sans payer ! Bien dommage aussi ! Date de l’expérience depuis le début sur mon ARTEON !

Ive had my ID3 3 years from new 2023. 2 weeks after the warranty expired the Steering rack failed and is being replaced. Ive had little recourse from Volkswagen so it now turns out I have to pay for the entire replacement and service. back in 2021 there was a recall from volkswagen for an issue with the steering Rack. Is this a repeat of the same problem. Are the ID3 models safe to drive. Has poor customer service masked the problem for other customers. I won't ever go back to the dealer again(Laharts In Kilkenny) or Volkswagen to purchase. They cannot be trusted!!!!
