Our 12 year old Tiguan was just perfect apart fro. Being a manual gearbox. When the time came to change cars because of a leg injury we chose an automatic VW T-Roc that I had been longing for. Sadly as the car is brilliant the touch screen and software is diabolically frustrating and making me regret buying the later car. Manufacturers decide what they think we want and often get it wrong. The screen menus tab leads you to a dozen more menus to set the car up as you want only to have them revert to default again the next time the car is started. Service information is not available to the owner/driver but only agents. I'm beginning to dislike using the car. Ray.

Nice Brand good service

I hate doing this. But I am tired of my VW Tiguan ruining my day! I have had a VW since 2008. I own/lease 5 cars -3 are VW’s (2015 CC, 2023 Jetta and 2023 Tiguan). I leased my 2023 Tiguan in July 2023. I drove it off the lot and the check engine light came on. I took it back for repair. 2 months later, I had my car back! My issue now is with the Blue Tooth and Apple Car Play. I am going to get in a wreck trying to figure this out. It does not automatically connect, even when phone is plugged in and blue tooth connected. I find myself trying to figure it out while driving (taking a hit on my Drive Wise). Even my passengers find it annoying when they can’t get it connected. Imagine driving to the gym. NO music! A trip to Target, No music! I am just counting down the days until my Lease is up. None of our other vehicles have this issue. They all automatically connect at start. The Jetta and CC, no issue, The Honda and Subaru, no issue!

Brought a new vw golf r 2018 model,fantastic vehicle to drive and appreciate all the gauges.on second service ,replace water pump thermostat.all good drive for another 40.000 km and another water pump need to be replaced with the costs of $2100 .question I need a pump every 40.000 kms ?this vehicle been serviced buy vw (Australia) and off course was out off warranty (3years) than also a quote $700 for a new battery…really vw don’t come to help or interested. I like and I want people to know this is a problem with vw .ashamed a nice car as is it needs 2 water pumps.I’m less than 5 years.

We had a volks wagon for some time, it broke down quite a lot, but maybe it's because of the high usage that we used it for, hours and hours on the motorways made it overheat a lot, maybe we dont put enough water in it to cool things down.

For a german-built car brand, VW offers solid construction but nothing else. Should be held to a higher standard.

Considering they were originally funded by Hitler, VW offer some decent cars at decent prices. Assistance isn't the best, but german built things are meant to last.
