They reel you in with all these attractive extras then once you sign up the plan changes and as far as their OTC card the only thing worse than their OTC card is their customer service ,Everyone of their "EXTRAS" are handled by 3rd party vendors so when you go to UHC for help they inform you that its handled by a 3rd party and they refer you to that company so you go there looking for help and find out they provide ZERO customer service ..... example ME :Hi I have a couple of questions about my card..UHC: oh okay that's done by a 3rd party vendor go to healthybenefitsplus.com and they can answer your questions .......if they help you great if they don't it sucks to be you........if I had known then what I know now I'd have NEVER chose UHC

I am new to UHC and had my doctor send prescriptions to OptumRX Home Delivery. After numerous chats and phone calls, I found it would take 2 weeks to get 2 of my 3 medicines which I needed sooner than that. My 3rd prescription was marked as Items not shipped in this order. I called Customer Services who transferred me to OptumRX Customer Service who could not even find the medicine I was talking about and then told me that medicine was not covered on my plan. Then the first Customer Serv rep told me that my medicine was under review and it would take 72 hours to review. This is the worst healthcare system I have ever dealt with and I have only been with them for 8 days. Horrible communication, hard to understand, and a complete sheetshow.

They have some bad drug coverage on. aarp Medicare advantage you have to pay $450 before you can get covered for prescription drugs it looks like they're donut whole starts at the beginning of the year I think politics plays a big part in this

Everyone should cancel their policies with this criminal organisation and close it down

United Health Care just denied my PT after months of approval stating a new policy is that I need a doctor’s referral. They also denied my shoulder injection from a provider they covered for months leading up to it suddenly saying I had no referral for this provider. Huh????? The last six months have been nothing but games. I chose a new carrier this year and will never go back to these theives.

I totally hate United healthcare. I have been trying to get my free Medicare diabetes supplies from them. They said they don't cover the meter strips I have. Spent literally two hours yesterday on the phone getting all kinds of run around answers from clueless agents. Finally they told me the brand I have to have. I got my Dr to send in a prescription for it. Then the pharmacy tells me they don't cover that brand when on their website they state they do. Spent another hour today trying to ti find out what they will cover only to be told my doctor needs to write a new prescription for a different brand but they don't even know the name of the other brand! Then they tell me my doctor needs to call them. I need the supplies now. I told the agent flat out that I was sorry I had United healthcare and would not be renewing next year. The agents don't know any of the answers and you have to jump through hoops to get simple diabetic supplies which are supposed to be covered. I had to go on Amazon and make an order an pay for the supplies myself. What a nightmare. Spent two days and countless hours on the phone. Never got a resolution.

I have my FSA through UnitedHealthcare. I have never given my card details to any provider and I input any claims manually. Without my consent, UHC started taking out all my funds to pay for all PRE-INSURANCE medical/pharmacy costs that were to be 100% covered by insurance, committing fraud. They also started denying claims I had submitted that were absolutely in policy with the statement that the receipts weren't ledgible when they were digital documents that were 100% ledgible.
