My UHC Advantage plan employed AI to reject most of my service claims this year!
This year United Healthcare has employed an AI application to deny most of my service claims this year. This resulted in hours of work on my part to deal with the denials and also resulted in much frustration on my part.

⭐ $5,200 a Year for Insurance
⭐ $5,200 a Year for Insurance, and I’m Still Left to Suffer
I pay approximately $5,200 a year for health insurance, and when I actually need help, I’m left fighting for the care I pay for every single month.
I have an abnormal ultrasound showing a dilated bile duct, ongoing abdominal pain, and a doctor recommending an MRCP to determine what is wrong. Instead of being able to get the testing I need in a timely manner, I’m stuck waiting for insurance approval while I continue to live in pain and worry about my health.
I work hard for my money. I show up for my job, pay my bills, and do what I’m supposed to do. Yet when I need medical care, I’m expected to wait, suffer, worry about the cost, and hope my condition doesn’t get worse while people behind a desk decide whether the care my doctor recommends is worth approving.
What exactly am I paying $5,200 a year for? Because it certainly doesn’t feel like peace of mind or access to timely medical care.
The working class cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars for insurance, still face enormous out-of-pocket expenses, and then be forced to fight for necessary diagnostic testing. We shouldn’t have to choose between protecting our financial stability and protecting our health.
Healthcare is not a luxury. Diagnostic testing is not something people should have to beg for. And people should not have to suffer while waiting for an insurance company to decide whether they deserve timely care.
I am beyond frustrated and disappointed. An insurance policy is supposed to provide protection when you need it most. Right now, I feel like I’m paying a fortune for a promise that disappears the moment I actually need help.
The American working class deserves better than this.
You deserve 0 stars! Shame on you!

UHC is the worst! Don’t choose them.
It’s more like -5 stars. It should be illegal the way UHC operates. I just found out they are my Vision care and of course my eye doctor doesn’t take them. I refuse to go somewhere else. My eye Dr uses advanced technology so no eye dilation. It was probably 10 years ago I found my medical doctor didn’t take UHC because they pay lower than Medicaid. Of course UHC said it was due to the company my Dr worked for and gave a ridiculous reason. I will never choose UHC for any reason and it’s awful employers still offer this rip off company!

Horrible experience!!
Horrible experience!!! The ignorance and lack of urgency of a medical care insurance providers customer service department is mind blowing.
The rep who identifies as only by the letters E R, and his supervisor Nicole. Neither would provide a supervisor or would explain how to move an authorization form forward from the "progress" step after 10 days. Meanwhile, a double lung transplant recipient with breast cancer waits for medical attention. These 2 individuals should be placed on a written warning and provided additional training.
Shame on UHC for hiring people who dont care about their job.

“The older I get...
“The older I get, the more I realize PETA and UnitedHealthcare have a disturbing similarity. Both claim to save lives, yet somehow both have been accused of treating lives like numbers on a spreadsheet. The difference? PETA calls it euthanasia, while UnitedHealthcare calls it a denied claim. Apparently, saving lives is only part of the mission statement, not the business model.”

The fact that I have to select one star makes me sick. By far the worst insurance company. Disgusting.

A company working against you
I have learned to despise UnitedHealthcare. Extremely high premiums, extremely low coverage, really odd treatment of referrals, poor customer support and an app tethered to the 90’s. I can’t wait to get out of their plan.
