My wife and I have had United Healthcare health insurance for about 8 years now no problems. We had a Health crisis a couple years ago in the cost was close to $500,000. We only had to pay a couple hundred.

I believe United Healthcare is a Great Healthcare Plan BUT THEY WOULD BE AN ALOT BETTER COMPANY IF THE OTC CARD (WOULD) PAY FOR CELL PHONE BILLS. IT PAYS FOR : ELECTRIC WATER CABLE LANDLINE PHONES INTERNET GROCERIES AND OTHER IN STORE PRODUCTS WHY NOT CELL PHONES IVE BEEN WITH UNITED HEALTHCARE FOR 2 YEARS,BUT (MAY) SWITCH PROVIDERS IN 2027 IF THERE IS (NOT) A CHANGE AND UNITED HEALTHCARE DOES NOT START HELPING PEOPLE PAY THEIR CELL PHONE BILLS... I’ve called several times and had questions and she politely and completely answered each question with 5 star ⭐️ rating in my opinion I hope to always have customer service like her because she is someone that could make you decide to stay with the company when you’ve had issues in the past. United healthcare has been amazing for us. When I was pregnant, they found out that I was dialating at 25 weeks. We lived on an island so I had to be medevacked to a large hospital, stayed for several days and gave birth via emergency c section. Not only did the insurance covered all of that, but they also covered our hotel stay after i was discharged as our baby was still in the NICU. I did not have to find a place to stay or fly back to the island without my baby because they covered for my hotel stay for 4 months until our baby was finally discharged. I did not expect that kind of benefit and I am beyond grateful. I made friends with other moms at the NICU and though it seemed to be a standard practice with other insurances as well to provide a hotel, meals and transportation, UHC's benefits were better than others. Better hotel, easier process for meal benefits etc. Even after the baby was discharged, they assigned us a rep to take care of us so we didnt have to struggle getting ahold of them. She helped us tremendously with our unique prescription and a very difficult shipping-based pharmacy that we had to deal with. She also visited periodically to check on us! Of course they have their challenges just as any other insurance company. Submitting reimbursement for the prescription could have been easier. Every agent i spoke to gave me different instructions on how to do so. Also the hotel and taxi company they contracted with were pretty bad but they moved us to a different hotel after I talked to them. They let me use Uber when the taxi failed. I wish they let us use just Uber instead of having to deal with the taxi first but im guessing that would be too expensive for them. Any way, just wanted to thank them for their help through our difficult times. We will stick with UHC for as long as we can!
