Overall this company is so greedy and doesn't care about their customers. They want you to pay all this money every month for coverage, but the plans don't really cover anything. If there is something you really need like treatments, procedures/surgery and especially mental health services/ treatment none of it is covered at all. Your insurance is only good when you're healthy. This company is the worst overall, they don't cover anything and deny customers treatment and things they really need. They provide nothing for customers, and all they want is money. Corruption, greed and unethical practices and no care for customers lives.

If I could give zero stars I would I have a short term disability claim and I was the same set amount every week for 3 months which is 60 percent of my income (when I’m on 100 percent income I’m just over paycheck to paycheck) so obviously at 60 percent I’m paycheck to paycheck these evil people called me on CHRISTMAS EVE to tell me they made a mistake and I was overpaid right before my final short term check so my last check going into a new year was 84 dollars because of there severe embarrassing incompetence anyone who works for this company shouldn’t be able to sleep and night like what in the Christmas carol is that

Day one of their RX Part D plan. Awful. Will not allow me to populate a list of my medications on the website. Website requires transferring medications ONE at a TIME for home delivery. Add med, dosage, provider, then check out. Repeat. Time consuming. Ridiculous.

I couldn't get into my online account so a bot had a rep call me well she signed me into some one elses account she has the same name as me now she is prob locked out of her account so I'm going to have to down 100 rabbit holes to let her know what happened Jennifer Jones in Gilbertsville Az sorry wasn't my fault when I tried to get help for this I was placed on hold for over an hour!!

Let's talk about United Healthcare's Vision Plan. I had an eye exam yesterday and when I went to order my new glasses, I got hit with a bill for almost $1,000.00 that I have to pay myself. The insurance will of course pay for the frames and the tier 1 progressive lenses. The problem is that my eyes are bad, really bad, and I require lenses that are pretty far up the progressive tier list. My eye Doctor told me that to wear tier 1 lenses, they would be so thick that I would not be able to see that well, would have a hard time focusing, not to mention all that extra weight pushing down on my nose. Prior to and including 2024 this was never a problem as United Healthcare paid for progressive lenses above tier 1. For 2025 and into the future, if you need a progressive lens above that bottom tier 1, look forward to paying 100% of the cost out-of-pocket.

They immediately sell your information so spam calls never stop from the first minute. And when u decide to switch they immediately start denying any visits or treatment the rest of the year and start suddenly spamming you with cost sharing bills that never existed prior

The worst, unorganized company that does NOT pay providers and sends them on a year long rabbit hole and runaround with denying claims for services provided. Spending hours and hours on phone with advocates that just do the same thing every time, tell you a supervisor will call back within 30 days and no one calls. Then you call again and have to go thru it all over again, and again , and again. Not worth all the despair and anxiety about the literal worst customer service on the planet.

Actually most of my experience with UHC regarding medical has been good. But, my God, try to reach CS. Philippines are ok, India, not good, now there is AI accent-smoothing that "translates" without the Indian accent. It is totally unusable. It's horrible. I have a UCard with $105 on it, to spend by 12/31, I give up, UHC, fix your customer service! Drop the accent-whitening AI, it does NOT work. I threw my $105 out, what a waste.
