I have to laugh, The ads from United healthcare for their new campaign “Every Step of the Way” The problem arises in that 40% of United healthcare‘s steps are side steps! Definition; To side step is to deliberately avoid, evade, or dodge a difficult question, responsibility, issue, or person. It implies shifting away from a direct confrontation or answer, similar to physically stepping aside to avoid a blow, often used in political or professional contexts to navigate around uncomfortable topics. I just had to clarify what is meant by every step of the way.

It seems to look like insurance fraud. I don't know for sure yet but I will soon. If they don't come up with any insurance today I'm getting a lawyer and suing. It's like they are selling fake policies and telling everyone the policy is active on their website, but nowhere else in the world. That would be fraud and If so, I will be taking them to court. This is too stressful.

Walter was very knowledgeable about the issue at hand. He stayed on the phone, connecting with other areas in the UHC system until the issue was resolved. He was apologetic for the confusion on my claim and assured me it would be fixed within a month. He was kind and understanding.

had plan N with UHC for at least 10 years. decided cost/service was too high so effective 1/1/26 I switched to a medicare advantage plan. after 2 mos I decided to switch back so I could see my previous doctors that were not in the current network. I was paying $212 per month under the previous plan N. Now they quote me $289 2 months later for the same plan. No explanation only that's the way it is. Profit is golden $$$ to them.

I am unable to write reviews for health care providers on UHC's site. Seems like that masks the service I am getting. I’ve been a Waters Edge Dermatology patient for quite some time, but unfortunately, the consistent scheduling issues across multiple locations have become too much to overlook. Appointments are routinely overbooked, and long wait times seem to be the norm rather than the exception. Most recently, I scheduled a 10:00 AM appointment specifically to avoid delays. When I arrived, I was told the provider was on time—only to end up waiting over 30 minutes before being told they were actually running behind. I completely understand that occasional delays happen in any medical office, but this has been a repeated experience, particularly at the Port St. Lucie (Tradition) and St. Lucie West offices (with St. Lucie West being the worst). What’s most frustrating is the lack of respect for patients’ time. Like many others, I have a job and clients who depend on me, and I don’t have the flexibility to sit and wait indefinitely for appointments that were scheduled in advance. I also had a similar experience with the cosmetic office, where I waited over 90 minutes before ultimately leaving. Since then, I’ve taken my business to Dr Vinyard who values punctuality and customer experience. I’m sharing this in hopes that management takes a closer look at scheduling practices and patient experience—because it clearly needs improvement.

United Health Care is abysmal. I was considered fully insured, medical, dental and eye care, for which they pay for next to nothing to providers so the charges all come back to you, the person paying a monthly premium. Annual woman’s wellness, they pay $100 to the physician, $35 for a Pap smear, $45 for blood work. Does anybody know a lab that charges $35 and $45 to an insurance company for testing? Yeah, neither do I. So in the end I am charged $500 for uncovered services together with a $600 a monthly policy charge, for a total of $1100 for an annual visit REQUIRED by United Health. On top of that, my doctor is on their ‘preferred physician’ list. The self-pay amount for that visit would have been $250, inclusive of doctor and lab charges. Make it make sense for me. United Health Care is jip joint and should be avoided at all cost.

I reached out to uhc in December to file a complaint against my insulin pump supplier. I was on the phone for several hours while the supervisor, Colin, worked with minimed to resolve the issue. By the time the call ended, everything was supposedly fixed and would be reflected in the March shipment of supplies. Colin gave me his contact info and said to reach back out if there were issues. I half jokingly said that I would be talking to him again in March. We gave our well wishes and hung up. Fast forward to March when what I predicted would happen, did happen. I sent Colin an email letting him know I needed help again. This was the very first part of March. To this day, even after additional calls and requests for contact from Colin, I have heard nothing from him. The person I thought would fight for me, has let me down. Thank you Colin for leaving me to fight for my life on my own.

Garbage. Worthless claim “specialists”. They don’t care enough to question the obvious. My hospital indemnity claim was denied because of a mistake made by the hospital billing department. The idiot claims person didn’t bother to contact me about this or even question why an itemized bill that proves major surgery was billed as outpatient, they just denied my claim and really screwed up my life. It’s currently being disputed. I realize the mistake is the hospital’s, but the claims specialist showed their lack of give a shote when they blew it off without a second thought. I don’t expect that my claim should have been approved with the incorrect codes on the bill, but I do expect the so called specialist to raise question when someone has surgery, is admitted one day and discharged two days later is labeled outpatient. I hope jobs are lost, but I know that won’t happen. They’ll go on to ruin things for many more people.
