*SCAM ALERT* At my 1st visit I made it clear what my intentions were and what I needed help with. I also asked about obtaining a therapy dog and the required paperwork. My therapist AVOIDED my questions (in email and in person) about obtaining a therapy dog until my 3rd session. I was told it would take 10 sessions to get the necessary paperwork. When it came to session 11, there was another excuse and it continued like this. My take away: Talkiatry goals are not to help people with their mental health. This is another factory making money for their investors.

Deceptive billing practices - They called me telling me they had cancelled my appointment and then billed me for a no show. I have called the billing department twice, both times they tell me they will take care of it, however I am still getting bills.

Absolutely the worst experience dealing with their customer services. Won’t tell you nothing about their billing and then claim your insurance is in network and then three months out no bill and will tell your out of network …. Stay away … unless you want to pay 275$ per session out of pocket because they can’t get their crap together. Oh and they’ll let you continue to set up appointment knowing your out of network… scam business

Absolute garbage. Spent 20 mins filling out questionnaire, then the "Doctor" asks me ALL THE SAME QUESTIONS I JUST HAD TO ANSWER. ...then he says my issue was, "out of his scope of practice".. Why though? My issue was ADHD and I was looking for a second opinion. Ummm, I'm confused, are you a Doctor or not? Then you charge me $350 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No help, no referrals, nothing. You ain't gettin that $350 I promise you..

Would not recommend at all. Before signing up with them I called to confirm they took my insurance and were "in-network", as they widely claim all over their website. However, this is predatory and it turns out the doctor is in network but apparently Talkiatry is out of network. I'm appealing the claim but they are giving me the run around and keep telling me to check If I'm in network on their website. It honestly seems like any insurance you enter in is "automatically" in network. The billing support team is somewhat sassy and not helpful. I would stay away from this company. I was quoted in the $160 range but was billed $324. I am reporting them to the BBB. Based on other reviews it seems like my experience is not out of character for them.

This company is the absolute worse company I have dealt with. The incompetence of their billing department and how horrible they treat people blows my mind. If they don't like what you say, they hang up. This has happened more times than I can count. I had a billing supervisor hang up on me. I called right back demanding to speak to her and suddenly she was in a meeting. I explained my claim was billed wrong and told multiple times I was wrong. I'm a medical Coder with billing experience. I know what I'm talking about. I would highly recommend anyone considering this company to not walk but run away.

Saw a psychiatrist online. She said I wasn't a good fit. I gave them my insurance. They never applied it. I'm on disability and bedridden. I never even had an actual appointment and they charge full price. I am so upset and feel cheated. I don't have money to throw away on nothing. Do not use Talkiatry. They are Scammers. I'm sorry for anyone who was cheated by Talkiatry. I wonder if there is anyone to report them to?

They are a money-grabbing company that doesn't care about you. I had a medical emergency that came up on the day of my appointment, and they refused to do anything to help waive the 48-hour fee, despite me being in the hospital, which is 100 dollars. The psychiatrist I met with was mean as hell. They're impossible to get in touch with and honestly don't care if their patients live or die. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE MENTALLY ILL! There is other, better ways to find help out there, so please don't try and get it from here.
