My physician gets 5 stars for compassion and accommodation. Refills never an issue. Never cancels an appointment. Prior to this physician I had another one cancel while I was in the virtual waiting room. They tried to bill me for a canceled appointment. I repeated that SHE canceled while I was in the room. I had to go full Karen for the woman on the phone to listen to the words coming out of my mouth. I told her now I require 24 hours notice before a cancellation, and now require to be compensated for my time. I’m still waiting and am quite serious. Also…when the doctor that I LOVE says that I will be sent information on different treatments he recommends I receive nothing. Again, I reached out asking why, and received a reply that they have identified a problem with the communication, and the issue has been resolved. It’s been about a year and no information has been received. $12,000 + in bills fully paid on time, and they couldn’t get me the treatment I needed. The psychiatrist stellar, everyone else abysmal. In short (too late) it’s sad that you have to go full Karen to get anything accomplished in this world. I’m experiencing traumatic grief. I saw my mother’s murder. I shouldn’t have to go through this when I’m doing everything right to help myself. I’m currently not as resilient as I am normally.

I booked a consultation with Talkiatry and was billed for more than a consult. my charge was doubled do to the 15 minutes of supposed "CBT" that was administered even though my booking was for an intake. I should not have paid the bill without looking at the breakdown. despite disputing several times, i was told their charge was correct. Will not be going back there.

When i was seeing them the care was decent, but now that I moved and trying to get my medical records they make it extremely difficult. The sent me a form, I filled it out the best I could with how they sent it. I've been calling to get it sent over for a week and the last time I call they tell me I have to send the form a different way instead of telling me that from the get go. If you plan on moving i DO NOT recommend you going through them. The communication amd service is ridiculous.

The only reason it’s not 0 starts is because it effectively connected me to a psychiatrist. The technology works exactly as advertised The reason it’s 2 stars is because of the business model. They effectively charge you double (psychiatrist fee and talkiatry fee) without warning My INTAKE (no therapy/diagnosis/prescribed solution or medicine) cost over $400, even with excellent insurance. When I asked about the charges I was unable to talk to a human. It was all unnamed emails that took 7+ days to reply. Then the psychiatrist left. So there’s no way to even ask the psychiatrist if the records are accurate. The only reason I’m stopping fighting it is because they have outlasted me.

Stay away. The physician I was referred to was kind, concerned and thorough as far as asking many questions to learn my health history. But she prescribed me a medication that was only to fix an occasional symptom, not for the actual problem. Then when I was billed, I was asked to check the “accept” box to agree to leave my credit card open for any future billing. I wasn’t comfortable with doing that and it sent up the first red flag. Then they refused to treat me further because of this. No medical institution nor any physician has ever required an open credit card for future appointments. I told them of my reluctance and asked to be removed from their patient list. They just kept coming back and it’s been nearly two months now. Red flag #2. Stay away.

I'm not thrilled with Talkiatry. I saw one therapist, melisa racklin, who fell asleep on me (& I'm not boring!) Then when I told her I was leaving, she said I had to stay 45 min or they'd charge me $100!!! What gall! I reported her & canceled all my future visits with her. However, Talkiatry charged me a $100 "no-show" fee for one of the canceled visits! It took me a long time & several strongly worded emails & calls to get them to remove it from my billing. Speaking of that $100 fee, be aware that Talkiatry also has that onerous $100 as a cancellation fee if it's within 24 hours. I suffer from migraines & I don't know when I'll get one. So, if I get one on the day of an appointment, I have to do it no matter how bad I feel. Luckily, I have a wonderful psychiatrist who understands & works with me. Dr. Drake is a highly intelligent, caring & nice man. He's a very qualified professional doctor who has spent loads of time with me refining my meds to get a good result. I trust him & we have a great rapport. I can even make him laugh sometimes! I highly recommend him without reservation. I'd give him 5 stars if not for the management. He's the only good thing about Talkiatry. I'd rate them a zero if not for him, & would've dumped them a long time ago.

Therapist was into this “feeling wheel” thing. Told me to get in touch with how I feel without explaining HOW. She was mechanical in nature and lacked the empathy needed to counsel effectively. I needed to chat with someone that had warmth and spirit and understood my situation. ; not a computer that relied on some silly “feelings chart” that turned the whole experience into a mechanized mess.

Clinicians were wonderful, the platform itself is bordering on the side of predatory. After an insurance change, I submitted new insurance information. Did not hear from Talkiatry for weeks, so I had to reach out to them for clarification. Was informed my insurance was no longer accepted and they allowed me to continue services for weeks racking up the over $1k in billing. I can shoulder some blame in that for not calling sooner. I just really hate the AI phone assistant and then trying to understand the person in the open call center when I finally get a human. AI is garbage and open floor plan call centers are right up there with AI. Where the real issue comes in, they require a card on file to make any payment. That card on file requires you to consent to being auto debited. They will then pull any open bills. Even if you are only submitting payment for a certain bill. This seems highly suspect/illegal and feels grossly predatory. Cancelling services.
