Absolutely horrible. Does not respond to emails for weeks, will bill you for sessions you cancelled well in advance, costs way more than they let on, and they will frequently mix you up with other patients. Horrible, horrible experience.

2/13/23 Update:After this review was posted I received notification that I had a zero balance. Original post: I had an appointment in early January. I uploaded my insurance and all pertinent information prior to the appointment. Their site told me they took my insurance. I even had a pre-appointment where I was told they took my insurance. After my appointment, I received a bill for $359 for 1 session. I went onto the site and my insurance was no longer loaded onto my profile. I reloaded my insurance information and waited several days before logging in again to see if they processed my insurance. No dice. My insurance was no longer on my profile. I loaded it again, then called the 800#. They told me they would send it to the billing department, but it would take at least one billing cycle for them to reply to me via email. When looking at my bill they charged $254 for an "office visit" and $105 for the psychotherapy session. Now they're trying to make me pay the full amount instead of billing my insurance which they said they accepted.

Stated that they take my insurance and then billed from a different office so I had to pay out of pocket. I reported this to my insurance and the BBB so hopefully they will be looked into as a company.

My first contact with the company was a phone call with someone not using a headset. The audio was so bad I could barely hear her and she wouldn't speak up. Very inaccessible for many people, especially if you have phone anxiety or audio processing issues. So unprofessional. They kept pushing me to book before they verified they could take my insurance. They told me the wrong time for the appointment because they don't understand time zones and I had to double check it. The software is so terrible they sent me two different appointments for the same day and time, and you're not able to upload any documents. I had to enter my medications 3 times and then the provider reviewed them with me anyway. The provider arrived 15 minutes late to the appointment with no message and no way to contact anyone right away to see if I was in the right place. I was afraid I would be charged the $100 cancellation fee because of software issues so I was anxious by the time she showed up (with no apology). The app did not allow me to use a headset for the appointment, so I spent most of the time asking her to repeat things. The provider was not neurodiversity educated and treated me like I was broken. She also told me my previous diagnoses were not valid. Do not go through Talkiatry if you want to be treated for ADHD, they seem to think it's a fad or overdiagnosed. She also tried to get me to retry a medication that I had previous adverse reactions to. We spent a lot of the appointment discussing medications I took 20 years ago. Who could remember that?! The whole experience left me feeling horrible, and I'm half expecting to get billed at the full rate because they don't actually accept my insurance after all. I guess we'll see.

The processes and procedures for this company are clearly incomplete and they rely on you giving up and just paying for their services. Dr assigned was fine but you cannot rely on their operational services - you will be charged even when it is their fault. I will not use them again. They are slightly better than teladoc but all these tele health services are actually worse than in person. I am on a call to question a bill I received for an appointment I had used their system to reschedule and THEY DID NOT reschedule. So I got billed. Looks like any calls questioning billing are intentionally delayed and sent a system where no one picks up.

I will never recommend or attempt to make an appointment with this company. After cancellations and rescheduling then attempting to charge me for a no show (appt they made for me when they cancelled my previous appt) . I decided to give another try then again, provider was not licensed so I was rescheduled then. Cancelled again bc the provider is not taking new clients. An entire month this has gone on for and now I'm starting from scratch. My appt was in 2 days. I'm on a cliff right now and this just made my anxiety so much worse. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Do not waste your time. I should have read the reviews here first.

incorrect billing- charged me no show fees when they sent me incorrect appointment time. I raised the issue with their customer service and they promised to reverse the charges but still haven't in over a month! STAY AWAY FROM TALKIATRY!
