Pulling for over 12 years
My daughter has been pulling her hair out since she was 8. We had tried it all, and nothing seemed to work. My daughter had resigned herself to wearing a wig for the rest of her life. At 20 years old, she was completely bald on the crown of her head, and it truly was impacting her mental health. As a mother, I was heartbroken that I couldn't help her, but I kept searching for solutions, and that is when I came across Robert and Glei's website. The testimony I read and the fact that Glei also struggled with trichotillomania at one time gave me hope. I was still tentative, so I waited before I reached out to them. Three months later, after seeing my daughter cry over her pulling, I sent her the link and asked her to look it over. She, too, was untrusting. Each time I asked her to consider it, she made an excuse to push it off. She told me it was because she was sure that she would fail again and didn't want me to waste my money. I went ahead anyway, reassuring her that if there was a 1% chance it would work, I was willing to try, so I contacted Robert. My daughter wasn't a very good patient at first and was not convinced it would work. She was stuck on the idea that she couldn't stop and kept avoiding scheduling her first few appointments. I finally told her that I took a chance because I believed in her and wanted her to at least try. She started working with Glei, and slowly she began to succeed. After her second session with Glei, she told me, "Mom, I can't believe it, but this is actually working. I haven't pulled in days." She now has a full head of hair and hasn't pulled in months. She is getting ready for her first haircut and, for the first time since she was 8 years old, feels like she can stay pull-free. So if you are hesitant because of the cost, I understand, but I can say that I am thrilled I took a chance, as it was worth every penny.

Julie, thank you so much for your very generous 5-Star review! Twelve years is a long time to carry something this heavy, for your daughter and for you as a mother who never stopped searching. We know how much courage it took to try one more time after so many disappointments, both financially and emotionally. The trust you both placed in us is something we never take lightly. Your belief in her, even when she couldn’t yet believe in herself, made all the difference. The real credit belongs to your daughter, though. Even with all her doubts, she showed up, did the work, and found her way back into the driver’s seat. Glei remembers exactly what it feels like to be certain nothing will ever change, so hearing “Mom, this is actually working” means more to us than we can say. Please give her our heartfelt congratulations on that first haircut. It’s a milestone worth celebrating, and we’re cheering her on every step of the way. So happy for you and your family -- R & G :-)
