Going to echo what everyone else said, run don't walk away.
My husband's appt was cancelled (that's fine no biggie) but they only had appts 2 weeks out so we were waitng to see if they had something sooner.
Fast forward to this morning, I had an appt at 6am my time which was the only availability they had, I logged on 5:55am, and waited until 6:20. No one in sight so I called customer service and was told to hold on for a few more minutes. 6:33am still no show so I called AGAIN and was told the provider had already cancelled for technical issues. Lol. No email, no text no call ridiculous.
Customer support understood my frustration and although yes I can tell their native language is Spanish I had no problem communicating with them in English.
Hours later got an email notifying me of the cancellation and a call asking me to reschedule. Hellll no.

My psychiatrist is AMAZING
My psychiatrist is AMAZING. what's not amazing is that fact that you can't call them directly. So you have to go through the patient portal and it take them 3 days to respond to you. Having to wait 3 or more days for a response to a question can be dangerous. You can call talkiatry and have them send your doctor a message but then it makes you feel like your bothering your doctor by having the company contact him directly. I just wish there was a direct line to my doctor instead of having to use the patient portal.

You will NEVER have your appointment. You will just keep waiting and they will just keep rescheduling for a later time.
I originally scheduled an appointment for April 11th through Zocdoc and I got a cancellation the day after telling me to call their office directly to reschedule. I gave them a call and they told me they didn’t work though ZocDoc even if they were listed. No worries, I know these third party sites can be draining to work with so I did an initial intake questionnaire with the tech on the phone and rescheduled, 3 weeks later than I would have liked but I get psychiatrists are slammed right now. Less than a WEEK before my appointment I got a notification cancelling my appointment due to “my provider choosing to no longer treat my type of condition” (Which is a very common psychiatric condition). I then called, extremely frustrated, and they told me they would schedule me with another provider two more weeks out, so at this point I’ve been misled twice and have had my appointment scheduled almost a month later than what was initially promised. This morning, (less that a week before my 3rd attempt at an appointment), I got a cancellation notice from my now third provider from Talkiatry, and a reschedule notice with available dates. I’m on the phone with them right now and not only will they not compensate me for my troubles (spending hours on the phone with them each time), but they told me they’ll now have to schedule me with a fourth provider two weeks out, as neither of the available dates I was emailed were actually available, and proposed a third, later date. Then they HUNG UP on me and when I called back I spoke to a completely different technician who told me that there was no available appointment on the day the first tech proposed.
Now I am on the phone and the tech is telling me the first doctor I scheduled an appointment with is actually available at a later date. I am so confused. My head is spinning. They will never schedule you in for an appointment I am convinced. The entire office does not communicate

Trust the Reviews-Don’t Trust Talkiatry with Your Mental Healthcare
Absolutely terrible experience-they’re directly responsible for leaving me without my medication for an extended period of time. In four days they’ve done nothing to rectify it despite repeated attempts to contact them and promises to return calls by Supervisors. Specifically a Supervisor named Emily today did not return my call as promised after days of dealing with this.

DO YOUR RESEARCH AND AVOID.
What an absolute TRAIN WRECK of a company. Filled out an assessment, was contacted by someone that did not speak English to try to get me matched. This individual did not understand me, so it was difficult to articulate some information. Get through that, get matched with a professional. Fill out the paperwork, "check in" for the appointment that has been scheduled for weeks at this point, and get an email less than 24 hours before my appointment that the clinician cancelled and a generic note from Talkiatry that "there are no current matches for me." Followed up and was informed by another individual that could not clearly communicate that it was determined based on my questionnaire that a face to face visit is best and that is why my appointment was cancelled. Couple things to note-the assessment is very basic, not diving into much other than very surface level questions. Secondly, I rearranged my entire schedule to accommodate this appointment, coming back from a trip a day early to ensure that I could be in a distraction free environment in a comfortable setting to make the best use of my time and the clinician's time. This entire process has been so much more stressful and negative. My mental health has SUFFERED MORE as a result of this experience, and I warn anyone that is considering utilizing this service to be prepared for an unorganized, unprofessional, and very poorly communicated timeline of events to follow. This is exactly why people don't get help when needed, which is so unfortunate. I am very in tune with my mental health and OCD/anxiety. I can't imagine being in a different position/unstable/depressed and going through this experience. This was extremely triggering-I will be looking elsewhere for assistance, as this is the POLAR OPPOSITE of mental health care. Talkiatry, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Where's my "super bill"
My doctor came to Talkiatry with established patients who she's been seeing for years. Since she joined, it's been a billing NIGHTMARE. They don't take my insurance and I require a different bill. I've been emailing with people back and forth giving me the the same script. Since January 2023, I still don't have an invoice I can send to my insurance company. Of course, they want to get paid asap.

This company is a SCAM!
This company is a SCAM!! They laid off over 100+ employees on 3/31. Services levels will be going downhill from now on since they outsourced all the jobs to Columbia. If you are a patient there, I would jump ship ASAP. They do not deserve to be in business. They only care about making sure there are high numbers of new patient appointments on the schedule and ripping off patients. RUN as far as you can from these people!

Doctor never showed up.
Had an appointment and Dr. Joseph Ikekwere never showed up. I waited about an hour. Also had service on the phone trying to figure it out. As a mental health organization...pretty messed up to not show up for your clients.
