Madison will not credit with FedEx proof it was not delivered to the correct address
Purchased an Aeron chair July-2025. Was delivered 8/12/25 to the incorrect zip code. Clearly shows on Fedex tracking the picture was not the correct location and the zip code of the address was changed from 21202 on the order to 21222 where it was delivered. Madison refuses to credit or file a dispute with FedEx. Customer service will only accept emails and there is no management to contact. We are out 700$ on a chair we can prove was not delivered to the correct address

We provided the buyer with a proof of delivery from the carrier, proving the merchandise was delivered to the address they provided for the purchase.

DO NOT BUY FROM MADISON SEATING
Trash product, terrible customer service. Will advertise their chairs as "New/Open Box" but when you receive it the first thing you'll notice is the overwhelming smell of spray paint. As soon as I noticed it I should have immediately requested an RMA and returned it but I really needed a new chair so figured I'd give it a shot. First thing I noticed was after a day or two the arm rests would not stay where you would adjust them to and the seat would slowly sink. Ok whatever, the chair was still more comfortable than my previous one and I understood it was refurbished so probably needed some adjusting. However, after just two months of not even regular use (I've been recovering from surgery so I can't even sit down for longer than a few hours at a time), I leaned back slightly with the chair in the fully locked position and the lock completely gave way, nearly sending me flying out of the chair. Contact their CS - which can apparently only be done through email so they can avoid talking to pissed off customers. Wonder why?
Must package/resend back to us, we'll repair it and charge you $95 to send back to you plus the cost of shipping it to them. The price to ship it back? No carrier will send this hunk of junk back for less than $500. I spent $530 to buy the thing. For the price that I would pay to have it repaired/gave them initially, I could have bought one from an actual certified Herman Miller seller. I said absolutely not, I'm not paying you all to repair this thing when there's nothing on it that works properly, from the lift, to the arms to now the tilt lock no longer works.
Their brilliant second plan? Send it back and once we receive we'll resend you one. But the customer will have to pay the shipping cost for the return. So now they want to send my busted lemon chair back (on my dime), and take another shot on getting whatever garbage they send to me? Even if the replacement chair isn't a lemon, you know their plan will be to repackage the returned chair and sell it to another sucker who will be buying my used lemon.
Things I discovered while troubleshooting my chair - the housing cover for the internal components under the chair had been cracked nearly in two but had been covered in spray paint so you have to actively be repairing the chair to see the giant crack going through it. There is a ZIP TIE HOLDING TOGETHER THE INTERNAL MECHANISMS. I repeat - a ZIP TIE... Manufacturing label with the serial code for the chair has been removed so no way to know when this chair was actually made. I'm probably using a chair thats 10+ years old but I'll never know because there's no way to tell since any identifiers have been removed.
TLDR: awful product, awful customer service, hides behind their ability to "legaleese" through their terms of service to not be on the hook for repairing their product without causing their customers an absolute mountain of headaches. If you're looking to purchase an ergonomic chair for discount, find certified resellers. Never use this company

I purchased a Herman Miller Aeron from…
I purchased a Herman Miller Aeron from Madison Seating with the promise of a 10-year warranty. Less than three years later, the chair failed under normal use, and the “warranty” turned out to be essentially worthless. They required me to either pay hundreds of dollars in shipping to return it for repair and reshipment, or have me pay for the parts framing it as a “courtesy.”
Customer service was dismissive, and the experience has been frustrating from start to finish. An expensive chair should last longer and be properly supported when a warranty is advertised. Buyers should know that the warranty is not what it seems and offers little real protection. Customer service to resolve any issues is even worse. Stay far away from this company.

Rude Customer Service
Terrible customer service. Every question I asked was met with hostility. They canceled my order when I asked how long it would take to be delivered and then tried to charge me a cancel fee. I never asked them to cancel the order! They were rude, hostile, and terrible in every imaginable way. Id give them zero stars if possible.

BUYER BEWARE
I purchased two Herman Miller B-size Aeron Chairs with Garnet mesh. Based on their website, I selected what I thought were new chairs. Several days later, they emailed me that Garnet was out of stock. I substituted graphite mesh. The chairs arrived 2 weeks later, and they were in battered cartons, and appeared to have been wet. I opened the boxes and found that the chairs were new, but clearly open box. After assembly, I found that the B size just didn't fit my desk (too small) so I prepared an exchange. They do not have this chair in C size at all.
Their website says "No questions asked return, and they will send a shipping label and deduct shipping from the refund". This is not true. While I ordered new, and received open box, they now require me to ship the items back and refused to honor the website guaranty. On a ~1200 dollar purchase, the return shipping is costing 350 dollars using a fly by night shipper. (FedEx was 575! UPS 490!)
Their customer service via telephone is bordering on rude, their site is deceptive, and it's nearly impossible to tell what you're actually getting. Most importantly, they do not honor their website agreements. I have yet to see what their refund is going to look like.
Shop elsewhere, or ensure that every detail is documented if you have shopped with them.

I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this company but I just got my "Steelcase" chair and its just great. Didn't have to do a lot of assembling and went together just fine. Had a few scratches and beat up spots but who cares? This is a liquidation store. I needed a nice ergonomic chair for my home office since I work from home and its the same brand that we use in our corporate office. I have no complaints seeing I paid $299.00 for a $1000.00 chair. Its obviously used but I don't care. It serves my purpose. Would definitely order from them again.

Madison Seating - BUYER BEWARE
Madison scams buyers by selling faulty products that have issues not covered by warranties, then they insult customers who try to make claims. BUYER BEWARE, take your money elsewhere. Trust me.
