Don't buy from them - Their warranty practices are misleading
Just called about my Herman Miller ($750) chair that I've had for 2 years. Madisonseating.com says it has a 10 year warranty on the products. The mechanism that raises and lowers the chair just failed. In order to have it fixed, i need to break the chair into two pieces and ship it to them (I have to pay for shipping) as well as pay a $95 shipping fee for them to return the chair. Poor business practice if they are going to say a 10 year warranty but have the customer eat all shipping costs on a product that failed.

Be Wary! These may be "half priced' but are also VERY used
I recently purchased a Herman Miller Aeron Chair from Madison Seating. The chair arrived in a damaged box at the very end of the quoted delivery period (14 days), in a pretty beat up box that had two significant holes and a crushed corner. This was one of three chair models that I planned to buy from Madison in order to "test" which chairs might work best for our company (9 employees). When the box was opened, there were no instructions on how to assemble the chair but the back and and "posture fit" cable were the only parts that needed attachment. A simple search online found a couple of videos, and we were able to successfully assemble the chair. On closer inspection, there were a number of scratches and chips on the base and frame of the chair. The vinyl armrests showed more significant damage, which seemed to be caused by shipping as the inside of the box showed signs of contact with the armrests. The pellicle mesh seating area was also stained. I contacted Madison the following day by email, including photos, and received an email response explaining [Per our website:
"Open Box" simply means, the item is out of the original packaging. The chair was either, returned, refurbished, on display or has been in inventory for awhile and since been placed on a clearance. The merchandise is in perfect working condition with minor cosmetic wear to be expected.]
In hindsight, I would say the chair I received was VERY used, and the mechanical adjustors are useable but not nearly as crisp and responsive as a new chair. On a scale of 1 to 10 for value, I would give this a 4.

We ordered four office chairs one came broken...
We ordered four office chairs, one chair came damaged, you can not adjust the height of the chair, lever is broken. We emailed to return the broken chair for a new one. Madison Seating said thy prefer us to keep the broken chair and they will send us a replacement chair if/once we write a review.
We'll update the review once we receive all working chairs. Thank you.

Madison Seating does not just sell chairs that are "open box" - they are junk that fall apart
I purchased an Aeron chair that was supposed to be "open box" for a little over $500 which seemed like a great deal. It took over two months for the chair to arrive. Once it did, it had no paperwork, no serial number, and manufacturer stickers. It also included the wrong sized lumbar support. It made me a little suspicious, but I was still excited about the price. In a year and a half, the plastic support on the seat cracked, making the chair unusable. I contacted Madison Seating and they said their warranty only covers mechanical issues. I contacted the manufacturer, but Madison Seating is not an authorized seller and the chair didn't have a serial number so they couldn't do anything. So, I basically paid $500 for a chair that lasted about 18 months. I would have never purchased from Madison Seating if I knew the true quality and condition of the chair.

The chair arrived damaged and Madison…
The chair arrived damaged and Madison seating refused to cover it. Features don't match photos illustrations, so carefully read the first half of the description (the second half of the description has all features NOT included listed).

Chair broke, they dont care
Got a chair from them, was cheaper than other places, but apparently that is because they are open box products and may have parts replaced with non-OEM substitutes. My Herman Miller Aeron chair broke 4 months after I got it...this in comparison to one I bought from a reputable retailer that Ive had for 5+ years with no issues. I reached out, they do not provide support for broken products

Just don't...
Coming here now to share a recent experience with Madison Seating. I purchased a Steelcase Leap V2 office chair from them to give to my wife, and my God do I regret that purchase. There's an old saying - if something sounds too good to be true, it isn't. I'm feeling that one right now, as seeing a Leap V2 for less than $500 should definitely stand out as something about it not being right.
The chair that Madison Seating provided me, advertised as "open box", was actually crudely refurbished, at best. Comparing it to the Leap V2 I am sitting in right now that I bought from a local seller, the fabric is low quality, uncomfortable and the padding was also likely replaced with lower quality material. The best part, though, was the fact that there were two screws just jammed into the bottom of the seat, right at the lip where the plastic meets the fabric. I assume this was to further secure the fabric from the cheaply done upholstery work, but because they didn't pre-drill the holes, and they weren't threaded, the screws brought plastic up and out and was left in a jagged manner to scratch my legs when I sat in the chair.
I contacted Madison Seating about this, and was told that I could return it.....if I paid for the shipping and restocking fees, totaling about half of the cost of the damn chair, lol. Total scam, and to be fair, I should have seen it coming.
Just buy this stuff full-price from a reputable company, or be sure to inspect it yourself before buying 2nd hand or refurbished. Don't trust Madison Seating.

Buyers beware
Buyers beware. We purchased a chair with the code ending in 'ASX BK LTHR'. No mention that the seat was cloth or leather... just assumed it was leather because of the code. OUR MISTAKE.
Once you buy, YOU KEEP. After paying $300 postage to return and a "restocking" fee we would have lost most of our money. Their customer service team was stauch without offerring any help. Their 30-day money back guarantee is a joke. After the buyer pays for return shipping and the re-stocking fee you basically get little back.
