Same issue as many other reviewers on here. Ordered a Herman Miller chair three months ago and it still hasn't arrived. Deadlines they give for delivery keep getting missed as they keep changing their delivery time. They don't even answer their phone and tell you to email them. Wish we never ordered a chair from these scam artists.

I have rated my overall experience with Madison Seating as 4 star, but my experience with their Support Department was 5 star. I ordered a Steelcase Leap Chair which was attractively priced and was shipped to me on the exact schedule they promised. The problem was it was poorly packed in its box and arrived with the chair frame broken in three places. I immediately tried to get in touch with them by phone, and found it a little annoying that I was forced to communicate with their Service Department via email. Nevertheless, I was extremely surprised to find that they were very quick in responding to my email, and I was very appreciative that they were happy to send me a replacement chair, without even requiring me to send the broken one back (I did send them a picture of it, however). The replacement chair then arrived overnight! I wish MadisonSeating would allow customers to speak directly with their Service Department, but I could not wish for a more helpful team of people to deal with!!!!!

I ordered a chair at the beginning of December. As other reviews have mentioned, the confirmation invoice said the chair could take 10-14 business days to process (ie ship). After over 20 days and no communication whatsoever I emailed to inquire about the status and was told the chair was scheduled to ship in about three weeks. I have still received no further communication and my product still hasn't shipped. I can not wait any longer and have asked them to cancel my order. Just to be clear, the lack of clear communication on their part is unacceptable. I am more concerned with the lack of transparency then the time it is taking. Were I told the shipping date could be months out or not predictable, I would have made my buying choice with this information. Instead I was led to believe that my item would ship out within 14 business days (about 3 weeks). When I read the 10-14 days shipping, I thought "no problem" that's a long time but it's clear. When I still had not received my item, nor any updated communication after 20 business days that was unacceptable. Now, the new deadline they gave me has come and gone, with again, no communication. Very unprofessional. Updated: I changed the review from 1 to 2 stars because my order was promptly cancelled with no hassle. Update #2: I changed the review back to 1 star since they are acusing me of making it up (see their response below). I seriously caution anyone against using this company, and I'm wondering about the legitamacy of the positive reviews on here, but I really have no way of knowing.

I have had an excellent experience with Madison Seating's support. I ordered a Steelcase Think chair for about $260. It was cosmetically in perfect condition, but the comfort dial had a defect (one of the settings didn't work). Instead of giving me a how to on fixing it, or requiring that i send the chair back for repairs, they have simply sent me an entirely new chair to replace it. They replied within 2 hours, stating that they would resolve it on the next business day. They contacted me by email monday morning and, after sending a couple pictures of the chair, they resolved the issue immediately. I don't think you can ask for much more from a retailer. I'd definitely recommend purchasing and open box seating from Madison because they resolved my issue faster than Steelcase themselves probably would have.

I ordered a chair as a Christmas gift for my elderly father. The chair is gorgeous and perfect except it appears to arrived damaged due to something that occurred during shipping (shipping during the holidays is tough!). I notified customer service over the weekend and got a speedy automated reply that they were closed but would get to it today. And lo and behold, today I received a prompt and helpful email giving me instructions for receiving the new chair.

I got a pair of Steelcase Leap v2 chairs for my home office/studio for a deeply discounted price. Chairs were marked "open box" but appeared new. The chairs arrived one day before they estimated they would (on a Sunday). One was damaged in transit (this can happen!), but they replaced it.

Madisonseating misrepresented which model chair was on offer. All photos consistently showed a particular model nor was there any mention in the ad that there was even a possibility that the model would be different. While they do provide a 30-day return policy, the advertised model was purchased specifically because of personal mobility issues that make processing a return personally challenging. Customer service was prompt but they didn't seem to feel they had done wrong by the customer, which was frustrating. It felt disingenuous.

Don't waste your time! I tried to purchase a Steelcase chair - only to find *AFTER* checking out that there was a 10-14 day time BEFORE shipping (not including holidays and weekends). I inquired about this and was told that's their policy and due to covid (isn't that a convenient excuse) there wasn't anything they could do about it. After some back and forth, where I then learned it would be 18-30 days before my item even left their warehouse (making the lead time 4-6 weeks for an in stock office chair), their customer service responded that I seemed unhappy and would I like to cancel my order, which I did. Terrible service, and terrible experience overall. The whole experience feels like I was dealing with people in China or India selling knocks offs but who knows? Update: I received an email from their "customer service" team after telling them what a terrible experience trying to buy a chair from them was: Hi Dawn, WE feel the same way about you. That is why we reported to online merchant services so other vendors can read about our experience with you and decide if they wish to fulfill your online transactions. You may find that your online orders will start being declined or unfulfilled. We can only hope that this year will bring you more joy and less anger, more compassion and less vengeance, more kindness and less rage. The Team at Madisonseating
