If I could give this company zero stars I would. Do not buy from this company. It is a scam at best. It clearly states on their website that they will not charge your card until they provide you with shipping information. I ordered a chair 10/29/21 and my card was charged on 11/2/21 and I was not provided with any shipping information. I contacted the company via email and had a back and forth conversation with Sana and the answer to when I would receive shipping information was changed twice in this conversation. So I decided to do the smart thing and cancelled my order. My boyfriend also cancelled his order at the same time on 11/11/21 and he received a refund notification whereas I did not. I called my credit card company and let them know what was going on and my credit card company suggested I do a charge back. TWO WEEKS LATER I receive an email (on Thanksgiving no less) with a quite threatening email demanding I return the money that was refunded to me and that I had now received two refunds. My bank account did not reflect this until TWO DAYS LATER, so, since I used to download credit card reports and call credit card companies when people used to try and scam my company out of services, I suggested that Maddison Seating contact my credit card company, as I know company to company they can resolve this. I received an email reply back threatening me with legal action if I did not call my credit card company myself. Now this sh*tstain of a company can have a grand ole time waiting their up to 30 days for their return all because their “billing” or “chargeback department” didn’t check their credit card reports before issuing me a refund. This was not my fault, or my credit card companies fault. Maddison Seating has a poor reputation and that reputation has proven itself with this interaction. I will be contacting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the New York State Attorney General about their scammy business practices. Do not buy from this company. Edit to response: WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO COPY WORD FOR WORD WHAT ALL THE EMAILS SAY?! BECAUSE I CAN DO THAT. YOUR COMPANY IS A SCAM AT BEST. YOU TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME AND YOU DID NOT DO YOUR JOBS PROPERLY. YOUR RESPONSE IS LAUGHABLE.

I ordered an open box chair from Madisonseating.com, and it was a great experience. The chair arrived several days earlier than promised and seemed brand new. I did need to use customer support, and they replied very quickly and offered an excellent resolution after a quick exchange of emails. I will not hesitate to use madisonseating.com again or recommend the company to others looking for good deals on good chairs.

I have bought several high end chairs at great prices. Had an issue with one order and they agreed to send a new chair free of charge. Great customer service

Ordered a Steelcase Leap chair. It took a couple of months to come in with very poor communication from Madison. Paid $35 extra for hardwood casters and $99 more for leather. What I received were standard casters. Madison claims they are hardwood casters. They are not. What the industry calls a hardwood caster has a larger wheel that is made out of a softer plastic similar to a wheel on a roller blade. I complained and was told that that is what Madison ships for hardwood casters. About 3 months later the thin layer of vinyl (yes vinyl, not leather) starts to peel off the fabric. After complaining, Madison told me it was a low grade bonded leather. The photos I sent clearly showed it was no form of leather. What peels off is a very thin stretchy vinyl that has a look and feel similar to latex paint peeled from a glass window. Madison said if it wasn’t leather that I should have contacted them when I received the chair. There is no way I would have known they did not send leather without disassembling the upholstery upon receipt. They offered to reupholster the chair – with the same fabric! This was after me paying the freight of course. I was told, as you can see from their responses to other complaints, that they sell open box and refurbished items and I was fortunate to have gotten such a great deal, etc. All that argument is beside the point. I believe their business model is to bait and switch. They know that the cost to send something back, bourn by the buyer, is prohibitive. Since I had to buy hardwood casters from Amazon and will have to have the chair upholstered with leather buying from Madison is no bargain. From their lack of customer service and short answers it is clear to me that they are well rehearsed in dealing with customer complaints. I have to wonder where their positive reviews come from.

Though I tried to contact their customer service team many times, they just don't respond in time and kept making excuses for the delayed shipment, which is truly annoying. In the latest email, they even blamed me for not sending the email to "explicitly confirm the order to proceed" after they told me the delayed date the second time. I guess there might be some serious problems going on in their supply side and they want to push me cancel the order. Anyway, don't order anything on this website if you want to get your chair within a reasonable time. But if you are willing to wait for half a year, then give it a try and good luck.

We placed a large order of office chairs with Madison Seating, which was very easy to do on their website. One of the chairs arrived damaged. I reached out to customer service and the response was quick and very professional to resolve the issue. They would replace our chair at no cost to us and to help eliminate any additional stress, we didn't even need to send back the broken chair. I would 100% recommend Madison Seating and I know that we will be using this exceptional company in the future. We are extremely pleased!!!!

I ordered a chair on August 30th, thinking that I would receive it sometime in the next week or two. No confirmation email. Then, I got a response stating that it would be send in late September. On Oct 5th, I disputed the charge, the chair arrived that day, I contacted my credit card to cancel the dispute that day. I received an ugly email and call the next Sunday calling me a theft, possessing stolen merchandise, and threatening to call the authorities. NEVER do business with this company. BTW- I received confirmation of shipping a week after shipping, days after I received it. The reply from Madison Seating has purposeful lies: I disputed the charge BEFORE the shipment arrived. I was provided only one email prior to the dispute, and tracking info arrived 2 days AFTER the chair arrived, and I have fully paid for the chair. Each of these facts I have proof of. Madison Seating is dishonest.
