I have been with Chewy for years, and since it's been bought by another company I've had trouble getting my 1 bag of dog food on time. I complained last month to customer service asking why my order didn't go out on the day I had it set up to ship. I didn't get a clear answer. Today, I chatted with customer service again to see why my order didn't go out on Saturday the 3rd when I set it up to ship. I was told that they use Fed Ex Home Delivery and my order wouldn't be going out until Monday the 5th and arriving Wednesday the 7th. Apparently no orders go out on Saturdays or Mondays anymore. Would have been nice to have known that before realizing I have to buy a bag of food to get my dogs through until next Wednesday! This company has changed. Customer service isn't near as nice and I don't get my orders on time. I'm going to quit buying through Chewy as soon as I get this next order. I miss the old Chewy...

Chewy impedes shelter donation Tried to order cases of Royal Canin for Oakland Animal Services as a donation. Received repeated emails that order was being cancelled (every day 3 days in a row) since the prescription had not been called in by shelter vet. After speaking to rep about having to reconfirm order (multiple times), rep tells me that prescription has been received. 4 weeks later, I call to check that food has been sent to shelter....chewy claims there is no prescription and has cancelled the order. Thanks chewy for preventing sick animals from getting necessary supplies

There really is no other company like chewy.com. The products are almost always a lot cheaper than anywhere else and the customer service is exceptional. My dog's obedience class instructor suggested this website and I have never looked back. I saw reviews that said things like "shipping is not free" and "autoship doesn't alert you before sending." First, they never claim shipping is free, it clearly states free for orders over $49. Just plan ahead and buy enough food/supplies so you don't have to order again for several months. I have had a few autoships and I don't actually remember if they do send you an alert but I mean come on, just put that stuff in your calendar or don't sign up if you can't remember. It's a service that you don't have to sign up for but it gives you get a 5% discount. The representative I spoke with over the live chat was helpful and friendly, and resolved my issue within 3 minutes. There's also free returns so if your dog's pajamas are too small you can send them back within a year of purchase and get 100% money back. Really, more companies should be like chewy.com because I think that most of their customers will never look elsewhere for their fur baby's needs.

CHEWY the BEST retail business I have ever purchased from! Chewy’s customer service is 10+ stars. I have been in retail 38 years as an owner, employee and customer. I have NEVER had a company address a problem immediately. I had a shipping problem that arrived with broken open package I took a photo and sent email. The response was within 5 minutes an apology and replacing my order. Chewy has a life customer for all my pet needs. By the way I saved $38.00!

After my 3rd shipment with Chewy.com, I am cancelling the auto-ship service. It would be nice to receive a warning about something that is shipping while there is still time to cancel or adjust the delivery. If a company like Amazon can do it every single month, Chewy should be able to do it, too. Now I will be receiving a huge bag of dog food well before it is needed along with extra treats that I had never wanted to buy again (Greenies). To top it off, my previous order somehow doubled the bags of Bully sticks, so now I am getting double again. The discount for auto-ship is so minimal that it is NOT worth it. Thanks but no thanks; I'm done.

Order a supplement for my dog. I placed the order via telephone because I wanted to ensure the shipping time frame. After being told the supplement would arrive when needed, I placed an order. Package never arrived! I contacted chewy, they refunded the price for the supplement but I still had to pay for shipping. To top it off, I keep getting hand written notes from them asking how the supplement is working. Would be nice if I received what I ordered! To me, it is a slap in the face. I just threw money out the window for a product I did not receive and for shipping which never occured. Then I had to rush to order the supplement elsewhere and pay for expedited shipping.... NEVER AGAIN CHEWY!

Today I received a delivery from Chewy which turned out to be wrong for my dog. My fault! When I contacted them to send it back for a refund, they let me know that they would refund the money but that I could donate the item to a animal shelter or needy cause. Wow! That is caring customer service. They have made a loyal customer of me. Thank you Chewy!

I love how friendly they are and you can trust on their customer oriented service besides pet food. Compensation or refund is so easy with them. Its the service they are selling besides awesome line up, my turtles are always happy.Great company.
