i ordered 3 things and it said it was going to come in two separate packages which was fine. it was a dog collar, leash, and a box of treats. one of the packages after a couple days said it was lost. with no instructions on what to do about it and no information on what delivery service to contact. the other package that was supposed to come was just the dog leash and i was sent the wrong length. i got 5 feet when i ordered 7 feet. then when i went to start the return for the leash i, yet again, was not given any information on how to actually start it, get a return label, or where to drop it off at even after trying to find it in the section called “help”. i finally had to start a chat with someone in customer service but was met with ai. finally i got a real person (though it was questionable) and that’s how i ended up figuring it out. overall a bad app and unclear instructions in almost every part of it. i can’t trust the website to deliver the correct items and wont use chewy again. so definitely would not recommend to anyone.

Systemic Bad Follow-Through *Do Not Trust*
I ordered prescription medication for my dog through Chewy's AutoShip program, expecting reliable and timely delivery. Instead, the shipment was damaged in transit, and Chewy completely dropped the ball.
Chewy never followed up, never proactively resolved the problem, and apparently couldn't be bothered to make sure my dog's prescription arrived. I waited 10 days with no meaningful action before I finally had to call and light a fire under their ass just to get something done.
It took THREE WEEKS for an AutoShip prescription to arrive. Three weeks! This wasn't a toy, a bag of treats, or some optional purchase. This was prescription medication for my dog.
The whole point of AutoShip is convenience and reliability. What good is an automatic prescription delivery service if the company can't deliver the medication on time or take responsibility when something goes wrong?
Chewy's lack of follow-through, communication, and urgency was disgraceful. Customers shouldn't have to chase down a company to get essential medication they've already ordered.
One star. Completely unacceptable service. Chewy needs to get its act together. Management is asleep.

I Longtime Customer Lost After a Year of Prescription Problems — Enough Is Enough!**have been a loyal Chewy customer for…
I have been a loyal Chewy customer for years, but after approximately a year of ongoing problems with Chewy Pharmacy, I have finally reached my breaking point. I will no longer be ordering from Chewy.
I have two dogs who each require one NexGard Plus tablet every month. For the past year, Chewy Pharmacy has repeatedly processed orders for two tablets under one dog's name instead of one tablet for each dog. This creates ongoing prescription problems, delays, and unnecessary phone calls between Chewy, my veterinarian, and myself.
My most recent experience was the final straw.
When I attempted to place my order online, I couldn't figure out how to order correctly for both dogs because of how previous orders had been handled. I called Chewy for assistance, and the representative explained that I couldn't order both tablets under one dog. They canceled my original order, placed one tablet in my cart for each dog, and instructed me to submit a new order, which I did Friday morning.
The order then sat waiting for veterinary approval. I had already spoken with my veterinarian, who was waiting to hear from Chewy. By Monday morning, nothing had progressed. I contacted my vet again, only to learn they had received nothing from Chewy. My veterinarian then contacted Chewy directly, and only afterward did I receive a shipment notification.
Today, my package finally arrived. I opened it to find **one tablet for one dog and nothing for my second dog!**
I immediately called Chewy again and was assured that the missing tablet would be sent. However, when I checked my email afterward, the new order information once again showed the tablet being processed under the name of the dog who had already received medication!
**How many times should a customer have to call to get a simple recurring prescription order handled correctly?**
Every time there's a problem, I seem to get caught between Chewy and my veterinarian, with each pointing the finger at the other. Meanwhile, I'm the one spending my time making phone calls, correcting orders, and worrying about getting my dogs their medications on schedule.
After years of being a Chewy customer, I never imagined that something as simple as ordering monthly prescriptions for two dogs would become such an ongoing headache.
**I have completely lost confidence in Chewy Pharmacy's ability to handle my dogs' prescriptions accurately. After years of loyalty, Chewy has lost my business. Enough is enough!**

Do not order from Chewy
Do not order from Chewy. They need to be held accountable for how they treat customers and their pets.
I ordered a prescription last weekend, and every single day since, I’ve had to contact them to find out what was happening. Instead of actually resolving the issue, they kept making excuses and lying. The irony is that every single representative starts the conversation asking, "How's your pet?" as if they actually care. They should really start by asking, "Did you pay for your order already?" because once they have your money, the care ends.
They repeatedly claimed they were calling my vet and that the vet wasn't responding. When I called my vet directly, I found out Chewy was lying—they hadn't called at all. The vet also confirmed that Chewy could have simply requested the prescription via fax, which they never bothered to do.
After all this runaround, they finally got the approval on Friday. But today, they informed me that it might ship tomorrow, and after that, it will take another 3+ days to arrive. When I expressed frustration, their suggestion was for me to go buy a small supply elsewhere in the meantime—knowing full well how difficult that is to do with prescription items, and expecting me to spend even more money out-of-pocket to cover for their own lack of ethics and efficiency.
This isn't even the first issue I’ve had with them; they’ve also sent me questionable food in the past. They are unreliable and irresponsible when it comes to pet health. Save yourself the headache and do not order from them.

Delivery Times Unreliable
Their delivery time for orders are unreliable. Only today, Sunday, Oct 18, 2026, I get an email telling me my order is out for delivery and I should receive today and on their website it says the same. But if you go over to FedEx website says it says it has your shipment but it will be delivered tomorrow, Oct 19, 2026. I don't know what service Chewy is paying for but they are not getting their money's worth.
Typically Chewy orders arrive quickly but just do not wait until you are almost out of pet food because that is when FedEx Home will delay your order. And the longer your shipment is in their care the more likely it is to be damaged. FedEx cannot blame the weather as it is a sunny and mild day here.

I changed my address and the morons…
I changed my address and the morons that worked there decided i didn't know my own address so they shipped it to an address that I haven't lived at in years. Then proceeded to tell me I would need to be recharged and reapproved for the 3 month flea medicine. I had to fight this because it was not my error, the company decided to change my information and admitted to doing it. Then, less than a month later, im getting charged again for some fee and another 3 month supply of flea meds I did not order!! Hello, its been 26 days why on earth would I need another 3 months??? So, I call back they try to put me on a 3 way call with my BANK. Are you f kidding me? I went straight to management and got all my money back. They are trying to STEAL money. DO NOT USE CHEWY.COM FOR ANYTHING. FRAUDULENT COMPANY.

Chewy's customer service has declined significantly
My dog received a prescription for his medication by his Veterinarian. Due to financial constraints, it was agreed by me and the Veterinarian that we would get a higher dosage of the prescription and will cut the dosage in half in order to prolong his medication (same expected dose). This way he won't have to live without it for months while financials improved. This has worked for 7 years through multiple pharmacies without any pushback and my doggie was able to always have his meds when he needed it. Even though Chewy approved the same higher dosage the year before without issue, out of nowhere this year it's declined.
After speaking with their "customer service" team, Chewy called and confirmed with his Doctor who reaffirmed this was their recommendation.... they still declined it.
Chewy decided that they knew my dog better than myself or his Veterinarian of 7 years and did not want to provide him with his much needed medication.
For a company who prides themselves of "caring for animals," obviously you do not if you're not willing to listen to his Doctor and provide him with the medication the Doctor prescribed, regardless of weight. Every situation is different and Chewy could care less of the circumstances or professional recommendations if it means they'll lose some money since the higher dosage is the same price of the lower dosage. Only difference is the higher dosage will last twice as long, therefore reducing their revenue.
We deleted our chewy accounts and will no longer recommend or use them ever again after being a customer for 7 years.
We hope for future customers that Chewy will listen to the customers' needs, and more importantly, listen to the Professional Doctor recommendations
