I lost my dog Giz last friday a week ago and I started the painful process of contacting all the companies I frequently ordered his meds. from on Satuday of that week and Chewy was one of them I spoke to a customer service rep her name was Ambria
I told her I had lost my Giz on Friday and she said she was so sorry for my loss and I told her he would of been 14 1/2 next month on the 20th she was so sweet and kind to listen to me and I felt that she really cared and felt my pain. I asked if she could remove my contact info. from their website so that I would not continue to receive email reminders on reordering his meds. She said she would take care of it for me and assured me that I would no longer receive any future reminders. I thanked her for being so nice and caring and I appreciated her helping me with my request. I was at work today and got a text from my apt. office telling me I had received a flower delivery and could pick it up today. I went home for lunch and picked up the flower delivery and was so surprised to see a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a card attached from Ambria..the note was so touching and said if I needed anything that they were always there.. Love- Ambria at chewy.com that made my day and I wanted to let Ambria know and the whole chewy company that they made a grieving dog mom feel so much better by that kind and caring gesture. They went above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated.
Thank you again
Sincerely,
Christy

Thank you Brittanya!!!
I placed an order on 6/25/19 and realized my order was going to my moms house and not mine. I called customer service for assistance and had the pleasure of meeting Brittanya!! She is the Queen of Customer Service!! She had to rewrite my order and even assisted me in getting a bigger size cat litter that I could not find and explained how to find it next time! She also changed my address to be primary so I do not have that happen again!! Thank you for having her on your team!!
A very satisfied customer!! 😇👍😁😁

Made 6 calls to my vet on behalf of Chewy to address their failure
So Chewy apparently had a server crash (not admitted by Chewy to me, but to my vet) and lost a significant amount of data/communications. Then this happens:
I ordered some prescription food for my doggo and it went dead silent and was notified that the order will be canceled. I called Chewy and was asked to talk to my vet for not approving (they didn't want to call). So I called vet and was told it was approved a long time ago and an email was sent. I called Chewy and was told it was not there and was asked to talk to my vet.
So I did indeed, and asked my vet to fax AND email AND CC me. The email was sent the fax was sent. I called Chewy to see if they got it and was told 'No, but you need to reach out to your vet.' I called my vet and then they told me they will email it the 3rd time. Once again I called Chewy and was told they don't have it and I need to email my vet.
At this point I asked the rep that I'm done going in circles, doing the same thing over and over to get the same result (and be continued to do it again). I asked that they resolve this critical communication failure directly with my vet so they can fulfill their duty as a reliable distributor. And lo and behold,
I was asked to email my vet.
Not so efficient, is it? I humbly suggest these mantras for their management, as their current system is designed rather to cultivate frustration and failure, instead of problem-solving, which is what was needed for my case and others as well, I assume.

Customers do not and should not do your job for you. I spent hours, called my vet 6 times and Chewy 7 times for their system failure.
Chewy invest heavily into customer service and you often don't have to wait more than one 'ring' to get your call answered. This is their greatest asset as well as their strategy of surviving (and dominating) the fierce battle of pet e-commerce market. But it's all for nothing if the customers end up working for them as well due to their lack of efficiency.

The communications between the rep and the pharmacy is OK, but nowhere near ideal.
Fax goes to pharmacy, the emails to the vets can come from both pharmacy/customer rep, phone calls are passed between those two parties and the record system is managed by the reps, but the pharmacy cannot be reached by clients....etc. What is this? If I can't talk to the pharmacist, who talks to my vet, how am I supposed to even solve your issue you've created even if I wanted to?

The data the supervisors see is NOT streamlined with the data from the customer rep.
How was my problem 'resolved'? I talked to the supervisor and was told
'oh hey, we do have the approval form!'
immediately after I was told that the approval form has not reached the server after 3 emails and 1 fax over multiple days.

Reps can't do anything besides making/canceling orders and sending simple emails
and that is NOT good.
Reps are supposed to be problem solvers. I don't expect an insurance agent-esque track/investigate/file/report full shebang but I'd love to be offered more solutions than doing the work for them because they are not authorized to do so.
I hope it helps, Chewy.

Best customer service ever!
Chewy is by far my favorite online company. They have crazy fast shipping, awesome prices and products that I can't find anywhere else. The customer service blows my mind. They wrote me HANDWRITTEN cards wishing my cats a happy birthday and a HANDWRITTEN condolence letter when my kitten died. I could not believe it and I'm still so touched. I don't know how they manage that when they must have such a huge customer base, but they did it. I will always go to Chewy first for my pet's needs. I'm so grateful to them.

I've never seen anything like it.....Thank you Chewy.com. <3 <3
If I could give Chewy.com 100 stars I would. Once I had to start getting Prescription food and medications for my dog, I began getting it from them. Everything was on auto-ship, but if Lexie was sick, etc., they were able to last minute hold it off, etc. The food/meds came so fast, well packed, no problems ever. 5 days ago, we lost our beloved Lexie and I had just had her food delivered not too long ago. I chatted with a rep the other day to cancel her autoships and he was so sweet and caring, refunded me the money and said to donate the food to a shelter. THEN, listen to this. On my stoop this morning is an amazingly gorgeous, very expensive bouquet of flowers in a vase. Who is it from? CHEWY! A lovely note, condolences, Love Matt from Chewy. WHAT!? Who does this? An incredible company who truly cares for pets and their customers. If I ever venture down the road of owning another dog, they have my business, but for now, I can spread the word of the incredible company they are......thanks so much Chewy.com. <3

I used Chewy for my dogs prescription…
I used Chewy for my dogs prescription food. They were so wonderful. Shipments always arrived on time. I had to recently make the dreadful decision to put my baby to rest. They refunded my dog food and told me to donate it which was in itself a beautiful thing. Then the had flowers delivered to me and it just touched my soul. Thank you Tristen! I was so touched by this amazing company. I will always use them for my pets in the future.
