My family and I recently lost our beloved Boxer Mia at the age of 13. I emailed CS to inquire about returning an auto shipment of her food that went out a day prior. Customer service refunded me the cost and told me to donate the food to a local animal shelter. Two days later a boutique of flowers showed up with a condolence card from Tina in CS. I’ve never had a company show they cared this much about a customer.

I am a big fan of Chewy's and save money, on Pet food and other related pet items. Standard Customer service for issues relating to the above are fine......On the other hand if you have a problem with a prescription, in general, non shipment, tracking or a mix up you can pull your hair trying to speak to the CS Dept. My story is just too too long to share at this minute. But there's an old expression The cheap comes out expensive, I would rather get my RX's filled from my local vet, after dealing with Chewy's. The Pharmacy Dept ,needs their own dedicated CSR Dept.

Chewy .com is an all around great company. They offer a good selection of products with competitive pricing. Customer service reps are always upbeat very pleasant to deal with. The automatic food delivery has proven to be more convenient and efficient than I expected. Be sure to sign up for emails... I have taken advantage of some pretty amazing coupons.

It is sad to see that some people have an unpleasant experience with Chewy since my experience is all positive. Although the system within my Chewy account failed to update my new address and was sent to my ex-boyfriends place, ugh, still, the customer service support representative quickly assisted me by correcting the mistake from their end, as well as sent a new bag of dog food free of charge (18 pounds Castor & Pollux Organic Chicken and Rice). Excellent customer service is so essential, and Chewy customer support receives five stars from me because of how they treat their customers. I highly recommend!

Prescriptions are beyond slow! I'm very happy with pet supply deliveries but you really need to go somewhere else for pet medications. Like another reviewer has said, the prescription order is placed on 'preparing for shipment' for 3 days and when you call them they tell you it's coming from a warehouse that's in another state. What's even more annoying is they tried to tell me they're still waiting for vet approval. When I told them my vet is open until midnight they apologised and said they already have approval and I should call them back if it's not shipped in 2 days. If that happens I'll be looking at 5 days of preparing for shipment and then still waiting a couple of more days for delivery. Turn around time would be 7 days! That's not acceptable for a prescription order that I need right away for my dying cat. Deeply disappointed with Chewy on this!

I placed a rather large order I do every month, for my animals. I have no issue with ordering dry goods if the order is placed by 9am it arrives at my door next day. Different story with the pharmacy, My dog is diabetic so he is on insulin I thought I would try to order from chewy after 4 days the insulin is still stating "preparing for shipment" So I contact customer service and they tell me it was approved by my Vet clinic it should ship out in the next couple of days, I told them that was acceptable, and I will call you back. I call my Vet clinic and ask them when did they approved the script with chewy, they told me the 4 days ago. I call chewy back and explain again with the exception of what my Vet Clinic told me, now she tells me that the vet clinic approved it today and it will ship now in the next 3 days. which would be a Sunday at the latest, so who is lying my Vet Clinic or Chewy? I explain to her I just got off the phone with my Vet and they approved it 4 days ago I never got a response back. Then she tells me that the pharmacy items are shipped out of different state that is the reason for the delay in shipping, I believe they are using a second party vendor and once the order is transferred, no telling how long it will take So with my experience I wouldn't use the pharmacy department with Chewy a $7.00 savings is not worth it.
