On the television commercials I have seen for chewy we are told that shipping is free. Shipping is ONLY free if you spend over a certain amount. False advertising!

Unbelievably bad service. I ordered a subscription for my pet's prescription of flea medicine. When I informed my vet they told me to be wary of getting flea meds from places like that. Someone called from Chewy and she was polite and I immediately canceled, but then they did not actually cancel my subscription. They kept it on file and continued to try to fill it, even though I told my vet to decline it when they called. I contacted customer support many times, I told them about the call where I canceled, about telling my vet to decline it and they again, agreed to cancel it. They still didn't! And instead continued to send me email after emailing asking that I mail my pet's prescription in. I emailed them again today and told them delete my whole account.

About 3 weeks ago, our hamster, Bonsai passed away. We have automatic orders through Chewy every 2 months and I forgot to take the hamster food off of the order. I called Chewy and explained the situation. I was trying to see how to send the food back. They asked more information about the situation like the pet's name, how my daughter was doing, and sent well wishes to my daughter about the passing of her pet Bonsai. The representative, Kaisa, stated both names. SHE LISTENED TO MY STORY! I was astonished because normally people don't listen and just want to give you the answers you are looking for. Kaisa stated, that she issued a refund and that we can gift the food to someone else that has a hamster. Last Thursday, my daughter received a delivery of flowers from Kaisa, stating that she was sorry for the loss of her hamster, Bonsai. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING this was. Not only did they GO WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND, but they LISTENED to me. Thank you, Kaisa, at Chewy. YOU ROCK!!

I use their autoship feature to order dog food regularly for our 4 senior dogs. It’s just so much easier than going to the big pet store down the street. I also order a few other supplies like a water bowl and dog bed and some supplements and vitamins. But I never order prescription meds from there. Shipping is consistently between 2-3 days and I get tracking info either by email or in my account online. So far, after a year of regular orders, there have been no problems. In the early days of the pandemic, they notified me that orders might run late but it was never more than a couple days late. I’ve been very happy with my experience with Chewy.

Chewy is so awesome!!! My very particular and spoiled rag doll was about out of her food that I can’t get within 100 miles from here. I called Fri evening to order. They said it may be Wednesday(5 days without her food) before it was delivered. I told them she would be completely out but it was my fault for waiting. Would you believe when I came in Sunday afternoon, my Chewy box had been delivered.... on Sunday afternoon❗️❗️❗️❗️ Thank you so much Chewy for caring as much about our pets as much as we do!! I would not recommend this site for medications. They are very unreliable. Even if you know for a fact your vet had approved the prescription they say they have not heard back for the approval. They also do not/will not do next day deliveries. I can receive an order not containing a medication in two days but medication is about a week out and that is not good. It's medication.

I’m not one to write reviews but in this instance it is warranted. I needed to return an item and received excellent customer service from an associate named Kimberly. I’m so impressed with Chewy I highly recommend.

They do not communicate at all. My packages have been delayed 3 times and now say they will take a week to arrive. If you need items within a certain timeframe I do not recommend using this site
