I think Chewy is not only a great company but a real compassionate bunch of folks. I have hanging on my wall a painting of my late dog Abby done by one of their agents. The only complaint I have is their delivery system when items are sent by FedEx. They often come damaged or very late and twice FedEx sent me an internet notice the items were delivered, and they actually were not.

Whether it is high prices or slow shipping, Chewy has nothing for you. The prices are no different than you would find on Amazon or some other online shipper, however Amazon will ship much faster. Chewy apparently has like an Amish delivery service. You could walk to the fulfillment centers faster. When you order something, you get no indication of whether it is in stock or out of stock. You don't know until you watch the order for a week with it not being shipped, then you know you've been screwed. Terrible business model with non-existent customer support. Hard pass.

In this day and age, it catches me off guard when a live person actually answers the phone when you call, but that is exactly what happens with Chewy. We recently ordered a Guinea Pig cage that didn't work out for us, through no fault of Chewy, so I called to return it. After about 2 rings, an actual customer service rep answered the phone and quickly issued us a refund. They also told us not to bother with the return, and to donate the cage so that someone else can get use out of it. I can't speak highly enough about the customer service from Chewy, and would encourage anyone to order from them in the future.

Not only do they have the most efficient customer service, they are such a thoughtful and gracious company. Out of the blue I received a gift from Chewy today. To my surprise I opened it up and it was a painting of my dog using the photo I had on his profile. In this day and age who does that?? We are just so grateful for such a beautiful gift.

I will cut companies some slack due to the weather and absence issues. That said, Chewy is now on my naughty list. I have been trying to order horse feed from them since Jan 4. That order is in limbo. Chewy shows it shipped on Jan 7 with ETA of Jan 9, which is still greyed out meaning they do not have a record of it being delivered. One replacement order was allegedly shipped and received. I was as home when I got the notification and went outside, checked all around my house and yard, checked with my neighbors. It looks like it was delivered to a completely different state. I called and they created another order on Tuesday, Jan 11. Even though they claim the item has shipped and is on its way, if you check the FedEx details, only the label has been created and FedEx says the information will be updated as soon as they receive the item to ship. So when you get the notice from Chewy, when they say the item shipped, they mean the label was created. I am supposed to receive the item on Saturday, Jan 15, but FedEx shows they haven't even received the package yet. Their only solution to orders that never ship or get "stuck" or mis-delivered is to create another $0.00 order that also goes into a "label printed" limbo that never goes anywhere. I had to take off work, make an emergency trip to start mixing in another feed I can get locally because switching feed cold turkey can result it colic. I am done with Chewy, and also with the brand of horse feed.

If you are waiting for them to attach the authorization for your dog food, be prepared to WAIT WAIT WAIT and WAIT. No worries its just your dogs health at stake!

bought 2 Frisco Camo Print Insulated Dog & Cat Zippered Coats, Green. they were nice but the fabric is very thin and fragile and my pups destroyed their coats the first wearing. I tried to leave a review on the chewy website but 'something went wrong' using 3 different browsers. I think you are only allowed to leave a review there if you've received a free product

I just wanted to say thank you to Chewy.com for the beautiful flowers I received, and thank them for being such a wonderful and caring company! After losing two of my precious kitties, and expressing that to a Chewy representative in an unrelated phone call yesterday, I received the most beautiful 💐 flowers at home today with a sweet card! I love this company and its employees... all of them are professional, caring and special people!!
