My older Rat Terrier was diagnosed with kidney disease. Chewy was so helpful when we needed prescription food or medicine they would contact my vet to get all authorization needed and ship promptly. Unfortunately our baby only lasted 2 months after dx. I had some unopened food left, I called and spoke with Victoria who was so compassionate and thoughtful, she prorated the food I had left as a refund and said to donate it to the Humane society. Then 2 days later we received a dozen yellow roses from Victoria with a sympathy note. I highly recommend Chewy for any pet needs. Thank you Chewy and Victoria. Kelle C

Worst service ever. I've been trying to get auto ship setup for a medication I'm paying for on a friend's account who can't afford it. It took four phone calls to try and get it set up correctly and they still screwed it up. I told them after the second or third call on their recorded line, with my friend being on the phone with me, to have their supervisors pull the previous calls and fix the problem. I never heard back from them. Today, they charged my card before the first of the month, thereby overdrawing my account. When I called to get this corrected, they can't find either of our accounts under her phone number, my phone number, her email address, my email address, my mailing address or her address so, they can't even find the order. They said they would have to cancel the order in order to refund the money and then set it up to ship again on the 1st. Now, how do you cancel an order you can't even find? How do you put back in an order you can't even find? I'm definitely ditching this company as right now I would trust them about as far as I can throw a pregnant elephant, uphill, with telekinesis. Their level of incompetence is astounding.

The wonderful staff at Chewy are amazing. They are patient, kind, and understanding. They are animal lovers without a doubt. I love them all, and wish to express my gratitude for the thoughtful and compassionate condolence gift that was sent to me when my beautiful babie Queen Foxy Mama died. I’m a first time user of chewy.com after a coworker (and multiple ads) describe the benefits of the site. I eventually made an account and ordered a cat tree. They claim 1-3 days to ship and arrive so I gave them 4 days as I ordered after they ship their items. I wait 5 days and receive no email or notification about the progress of my order until I get a “order verification” through my email on the 6th day. I call to verify my order and the man said they added a new security measure for the 1st order. The next day I see the same “order verification” email. I once again verified my info. Now today (of writing this) my order was just flat out cancelled due to “suspicious activity”. If you’ve been using chewy since before they implemented this security measure then pay no attention, however, if you’re going to be a first time user then look elsewhere for pet products or potentially have your order cancelled.

This past Wednesday my Mom and I had to bring my cat (Dash) to the Vet where the vet told us that he had an asthma attack and to order a specific cat inhaler assistance. We ordered it from Chewy's website and received it in the mail 2 days later. However, Dash had unfortunately needed to be put down. When calling and asking for a refund and if i could send it back, I was instructed to donate it to a local shelter. Today, 3 days after asking for a refund, I received flowers in the mail with a handwritten note from the person who issued me a refund. Things like this don't happen too often in businesses and I don't wish it would or else this feeling wouldn't be so authentic. Previously, I never have thought much of Chewy until today where I have my upmost respect to this company and will make sure to recommend them to anyone I see who is looking for a quick item for their own pet. If they see this, I would like to thank the staff and their help and Mary as well for the handwritten note!

Why isn't no stars an option? They say they will send medication to my dog every month, but the second monthly shipment will arrive 5 days late. I asked for two things: 1) That chewy change the schedule so that my girl will get her medication at least 5 days earlier in the future. They refused, saying that I have to make a special request every month that this be done. 2) I asked that a five day supply be overnighted to me so that my girl would have some of the medication until the late shipment arrived. This was also refused. chewy.com sucks. I hope I can find the same medication elsewhere.

Our dog was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease. The animal pharmacies we reviewed for pricing were too expensive. I called Chewy and learned that a 90 day autoship provided free shipping and I would save $60 on costs every 90 days. Then our dog was diagnosed with a terminal mass on his liver. Upon further diagnosis during surgery, the tumor had spread and unfortunately, we elected to have our dog euthanized. I called Chewy to cancel my autoship order and asked if per-chance we could get a partial refund. Not only did Chewy give us a FULL REFUND... but 3 days later we received a bouquet of flowers in Rusty's memory. Thank you Chewy! Although we were new customers, you have our business! Chewy is truly the best! My sweet kitty died a few days after I had received a large order of food and litter. Not only did they refund me, but requested that I donate my order instead of returning it. That is super generous. And yesterday when I came home there was a vase of flowers on my doorstep and a sympathy card from Chewy. I don’t know any other company that is so thoughtful.
