Customer Service at Chewy is unacceptable
I have ordered for years from Chewy and have spent more than the average. Not until recently, after speaking with several managers and employees (managers Rio, and Dante) that I am unable to resolve issues. According to these individuals, there are “internal errors” and because of this, I have to go out of my way to return the item. The $6 item that is in dispute is something I would not order at least by itself, because of its cost. In their internal system, one can see it was supposed to come with tuna. However, it did not. I actually canceled it but did not cancel the tuna. The tuna was never shipped to me. For any items ordered that are at least $50 worth of merchandise, shipping is free. It is obvious that their system or employees cannot comprehend that there was a problem on their side. I assume they want to make extra money by making it as difficult as possible for me to return items instead of realizing it was their mistake and taking a $6 loss. I assume that they are making this difficult because, in my previous order, I had ordered items that were supposed to be a “Pate” and not “gravy.” I had received “gravy” cans of cat food and planned to return them. I waited for a box that they were supposed to send to me. However, it took over a week to get to my home. By this time, I just used the product. Now it appears I will have to drive to a post office just to return the item in order to receive my money back into my account. Apparently, they were supposed to have fed ex pick it up but never did. If this happens again, I will have to order elsewhere. This type of service is not worth saving a few bucks in the long run.
