I have been a customer of chewys for several years. They have always been kind and professional. I lost my cat yesterday, therefore my time with them has come to a end. Thank you to all of your staff. My cat "Bailey" was happy for your services.

I ordered a bunch of pet food from them on a Friday. They kept telling me I would receive it in one to three days. On Monday, After not receiving anything, I contacted them. They then inform me they had blocked my order for my own good. Huh? You blocked my order and lied to me for days for my own good. This company is totally skanky, and I will never order from them again. And I highly suggest no one else wind up with hungry animals because of them either. They lie to you. And they are disgusting…..

I have been a loyal Chewy customer for several years, and I can confidently say that their customer service is unmatched by any other company today. Recently, I reached out to Chewy to return dog food that arrived after my beloved dog had passed away. Not only did they immediately process a full refund, but they also told me I could keep the food and donate it to a shelter. What truly touched me was the heartfelt email they sent, expressing their condolences. To my surprise, they also sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a kind note. This level of care and compassion goes beyond what I’ve experienced with any company, and it’s something I’ll never forget. Chewy has consistently delivered exceptional service, and this experience has only reinforced my trust in them. It’s clear that Chewy values its customers not just as buyers, but as people. Bravo to Chewy for setting the bar so high in customer service!

Unreliable delivery times I am very sorry to have to write this review since I actually believed I could trust Chewy.com with my pets health and needs, unfortunately their AUTOSHIP program is a lie, when they say order here and be worry free is only until they hand the package to FedEx, once is in FedEx hands the delivery date can change to whatever or whenever the driver feels like delivering it. In my case I have been ordering Insulin and other medications for my 11yo Chihuahua mix dog for over 4 years, her health is getting worse with age so the vet recommended Special Pro Plan food, to make sure I always had it in stock I set up the autoship, my order is set on the 2nd of every month, giving me 2.5 extra cans before I run out. The autoship was placed on April 2nd 2025, to be delivered on April 4rd, didn't arrive, then continue to be out for delivery on Saturday the 5th, nothing, disappeared on Sunday the 6th and now Monday is out for delivery again, I contacted Chewy to find out what is happening because now is 4 days late and I'm out of can food since Saturday night, my diabetic dog is getting ill and there is nothing I can do without her food, being special food they don't sell it in PetSmart, Walmart or other nearby locations only specific vets online have it. My mistake was trusting Chewy, I thought they were reliable, until they hand the package to FedEx. If they wanted to be trusted they would have chose UPS, everybody knows FedEx never delivers on time unless is priority overnight and even then you may get the item by 6-8pm, I have many times received hot insulin that Chewy replaced. It never occurred to me that they would risk pets health knowing FedEx and not delivering for 4 days, their chat people will be no help and insult you by misspelling your name or calling you out of it pretending to care, taking minutes to answer simple questions, while you see the chatbox dots moving, coming and going just being disrespectful to their customers. Customer service line? basically said is (literally) out of our hands. Dont make the same mistake I did, if you need anything in a specific timeframe for your pet DO NOT TRUST CHEWY, they hand it to FedEx, wash their hands afterwards and tell you "is there anything else we can do for you and your pet today?", "remember to contact chewy for all your pets needs! And have an amazing day" ...I cancelled all autoships I had as soon as I hanged up with them.

I can't remember the last time I've been addressed as a thinking, feeling, aware human being. And though I can understand some of the negative reviews here, a reminder: "Customer Service" is no closer to "perfect" than any of us is. Shippers can make a world of difference, and some are as uncaring as can possibly be but they're not the company we shop with. That said, I'd had a bit of a falling out with Chewy some years ago, because of their preferred shipper and had stopped buying from them because of it. But after years of dealing with "competitors" and needing particular foods for my Little One, I contacted Chewy directly to express my trepidation. After an e-mail exchange, to my SHOCK, I was contacted by a PERSON to discuss my concerns and after a bit of an exchange of thoughts, SO compassionate and polite, not only did an order get placed but I received an actual FOLLOW-UP! I was treated like a good friend, a close neighbour, somebody who has a heart for my Little One as big as mine! CARING! COMPASSION! CONCERN! As I say, over a period of years, I've dealt with many other companies, from the so-called "specialty" to the "big box" corporations for food and supplies and the BEST thing that's come from all of their general apathy and abuse, I feel as though I've "come home" to good friends at Chewy. As large as the company might be, they're not so large that they can't find the time to give comfort and support to customers whom they probably won't ever meet in person. But even over the distance, on the phone, in e-mails, it truly IS like corresponding with somebody with a heart and soul. As for products: packaged with care, WELL with-in sell-by dates, top brand names, fantastic selection and at prices considerably lower than local retailers. I'm quite particular about the foods and supplies I provide to my Little One and I've the utmost confidence in EVERYTHING from Chewy. As I say, I don't doubt that some have had the misfortune of getting one of the "common customer services" representatives on the line, ill mannered and perhaps insulting. I've received an apathetic e-mail, even from Chewy. But making just a little extra effort, I can say that those who DO care do so to a point where they negate ANY negativity EVER experienced. And THOSE are the people who are worth every moment. Shippers? Well, those depend on the drivers, ultimately, and again, NO company is absolutely perfect. There are those who do their job because they care about others and there are those who simply want to get paid no matter what. I won't comment on Chewy's preferred shipper, but the shipper isn't Chewy. But Chewy will actually take the time to investigate troubles and will make every effort to rectify! I've seen others mention names in their reviews so I'll take the liberty of doing the same because her intervention has made more of a difference in this house-hold in the very best way possible, cemented a true and loyal customer for the long-term and has made the deepest impression... as I say in my title... "1000 Stars out of a possible 5". Claire is spoken of as a "dear friend" in this house. Her compassion, professionalism, support, empathy (not just "sympathy" but "empathy") has literally been life-changing. She reminds me of my younger years when kids could go out for the day, wander about for a whole day, never afraid; when we'd leave the house to visit with friends or relatives and not lock the doors, the lady at the supermarket knew the family. If any of that is something you might miss (or have never known), Chewy is the place to go because that's all still very much alive and well there. Thank you, Claire, from this house to yours, always. Thank you, Chewy, for having Claire.

They still have $300 of mine tied up for no reason at all seeing as they canceled my order over 48 hrs ago. This is ridiculous, I can't care for my pet because they won't release my money. I just talked to my financial institution and apparently they have my pending charge set to expire instead of actually cancelling it like they did my order. When I ask Chewy for a cancellation number they tell me that they don't have one. Very unhelpful!!!;
