So far so good. Not sure how the cost compared to paying out of pocket for seeing a psychiatrist, but since I'm a type of person that would probably have kept putting off seeing a psych in-person until the end of time, I think this service being convenient and accessible was worth any extra cost for me. Kimberly the prescriber who saw me was so kind and patient, so I really appreciated that. She really made me feel comfortable in a situation where I had some anxiety going into it. She diagnosed some issues I've suspected I had for a long time but wasn't sure about - so it was awesome finally having the opinion of a professional, rather than just my own speculation. I haven't met with my counselor yet, but I have an appt scheduled in a few weeks. That's the main downside of this service I've encountered - many of the prescribers and counselors have very booked schedules in the near-term, so you may wait one to three weeks to be seen depending on whether you have a preference for who you want to see. You'll be billed as soon as you sign up, so just be aware of how it works. It's not so bad if you can get the first month discount to get the ball rolling, all together for the first month + medication I think I've paid around $50 so far. My prescriber told me she would see me again in 5 weeks to discuss how the medication is working, so it seems like at least initially you'll be on a pretty frequent schedule to gauge what works and what doesn't. Overall, I think it was worthwhile for me because I've known I have needed help for a long time, but have always kept putting it off. This is the first step I've taken in a long time to actually improve my mental health, and I think the accessibility of being able to meet with mental health specialists online is a key reason I finally followed through.

I was able to get in touch with the doctor almost a day after I spoke with him initially. He is very caring and understanding! He listens to me and is working with me to achieve my mental health goals! Thanks so much! It is hard to get in touch with them immediately at times but the doctor did clear up that he doesn’t work everyday.

I lost my job and was under the impression I would be given extra time to pay my bill. I was wrong, but Cerebral refused to refund me all my money. Since I originally had no money in my account, I collected a massive amount of fees and fines (over $500) in my checking account. I begged them for weeks to help me and even being a therapy site, they truly couldn't care less about you.

scored 5/6 [severe] on the adhd assessment but told they won't prescribe adderall because they've changed their policy. really? the reason i took the test and joined was because all the ads talked about getting the help i need because i haven't been able to get it anywhere else. also, the cheapest level doesn't include therapy but i'm assigned a counselor??w+f?? therapy should be part of any mental health package but because i can't afford it i'm again left to fend for myself with no help from professionals.... thanks for nothing

I have been using cerebral since probably February. I’ve been wanting to get mental health help for a long time but haven’t had the finances to do it the old fashioned way. I was very pleased to be able to pick my team when I got started from quite a variety, and even more pleased that I didn’t have to go through ANY trial and error to find a good fit. I have met with my prescriber once a month since February and she has been so patient with me while I find my way. Every month she very thoroughly asks and figures out how I’m feeling and I always leave feeling like she genuinely understands and is on my team. I feel so relieved that I don’t have to worry about miscommunication or misunderstanding. I also feel relieved that she doesn’t push medication as a lifelong crutch but more as a tool that can be helpful but not always necessary.

This is my first experience with therapy. Having a prescriber to talk me through medications and possible changes that available was very helpful. Also, the counselor I have been working with has been amazing. Having someone to talk to directly is uplifting. Very much looking forward to future sessions and my personal growth and maturation through this process.
