My gastro doctor wanted me to use a vagus nerve stimulator to see if it will help reduce gut inflammation that is causing microscopic colitis. So I researched various vagus stimulation devices, and chose Vagustim for several reasons. First, I liked all the scientific research shown about effectiveness, second I had read that a device in the ear was more effective then one around the neck, and third, it came with an optional phone app, but there is no monthly charge to use it like other systems. My only issue using my device is that I have small ears, and have a lot of trouble keeping my ear buds in. I reached out to customer service and they were great, they sent a headband to help anchor my ear buds. It is too soon to know how much this is helping my gut issues, but I am very hopeful that it will.

Where do I even start? The Vagustim earset is poorly designed and cheaply made. They fit like oversized marbles—constantly falling out of my ears. To make matters worse, the left earbud fell apart after two weeks! I reached out to Vagustim (repeatedly) for a replacement, and what did they send? An earset that would fit a gorilla. I clearly stated that I have normal-small ears. So then they sent me a medium set, which was still way too big. Now I’m told the “small” size is out of stock. Well of course it is! Since that's likely the only size that actually fits most users ears! The refund process? It’s basically impossible to get your money back from this company. Also, the directions on how to "properly and effectively use Vagustim are ridiculously vague. The device can actually leave you feeling more anxious. As a health practitioner working with thousands of clients, I would NEVER recommend Vagustim.

Ordered the device and requested cancellation the very next morning via email. It took several days just to get a first reply, which then asked me to confirm the reason for cancellation before proceeding. reasonable enough, but I responded right away and have now been waiting 2+ more days with no follow-up. I have no idea if my order (#5718) was cancelled or shipped anyway. Customer service response time is far too slow for time-sensitive requests like a cancellation….and why ask if I really want to cancel and let me wait another few days instead of just cancelling?

My pain specialist recommended trying this and within a few weeks I noticed a general improvement in my nervous system not feeling so heightened. It’s easy to use, and customer service have been very helpful.

The ear buds were too big for me and one of them got very hot and caused my ear severe irritation. I sent them photos and many emails explaining these things and they still refused to pay for the return shipping.
