Customer service isn’t great. Scooter rides really rough with the honeycomb tires! I’m 5’9” 190 only goes 15mph while riding. Handle bars too narrow to attach a scooter bag on the stem.

Super fun way to get to work! Setting up the account was easy, it arrived in 1 week, assembly took minutes and zero learning curve. It comes with me on my hour train ride and then zips me to work (rather than walking a mile in the heat). Then I slap it in reverse for my scoot back to the train. If your thinking about it JUST DO IT.

My husband and I have both models, he has the newer one and I have the older one, we have all access coverage and pay extra for the add ons, I have had so many issues with my scooter, I was recently in a hit and run accident and my scooter was severely damaged and not rideable, every time I have to contact the unagi company it’s a chore… no phone number to call, no help from customer support, I finally got an email, and took weeks for them to respond and still felt unsatisfied. Trying to find a better company….

A very good scooter with a lot of features. It’s so helpful to travel around and meet new people. It’s a tool for social connection. Service was great and the scooter is sturdy. Very genuine and must recommended.

I decided to rent the voyager one after being indecisive about purchasing a scooter for several weeks to try it out. It met all my expectations, and more. The scooter arrived in a couple of days, well packaged and with clear assembly instructions (only 4 screws needed, tool supplied). App installed, and then I was off! The scooter looks very slick, with people commenting how nice it was. The dual motor acceleration is quick and the (unlocked) 20mph speed is easily reached and maintained even in moderate hills! The only gripe I have is the solid wheels. I live in an area where it can get a bit rough, with some rail crossings. Adjusted my riding style to be a bit more fluid and now it’s all good. The folding mechanism is super easy! I’ll be keeping the Voyager on rent for a few months, but I can see this being a long term.

I've been a subscriber to Unagi scooters for nearly two years, and I can confidently say that both the scooter and the customer service are exceptional. The scooter itself is amazing—reliable, efficient, and a joy to ride. However, what truly sets Unagi apart is their customer service. In a world where so many things can go wrong, they have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure I'm taken care of. I have been an Unagi rider for several years now, and my current Model One Voyager, as well as all interactions I've had with Unagi representatives, have met or exceeded my expectations. For me, the monthly rental works best since any problem I encounter, from a broken main stem after unexpectedly hitting an unseen curb, to failure of the locking mechanism, to a brake problem, was always resolved on the spot by replacing the scooter. Most of these interactions took place in the brick and mortar store in SoHo, NYC. When I recently had a problem with unlocking my scooter's steering, I was disappointed to see that the SoHo, NYC store had been permanently shuttered. Living in a small NYC studio, I hadn't kept my original packing materials and I imagined that returning the scooter for repair or replacement was going to be a hassle and leave me without my ride for an extended period. However, after contacting Unagi, they sent out a replacement scooter within a day and I only needed to pack up the broken scooter with the packing materials that arrived, print out a return address label, and set up pickup with FedEx. Unagi even gave me credit for the few days I was without a working scooter, all at no cost to me. [ I should note here that my interactions with FedEx were poor (they tried to pick up on the wrong day and twice gave me incorrect information for drop off locations that wouldn't accept the scooter because of the lithium battery, despite me informing the representative that my package contained a scooter). ]
