We rented a medium-sized RV with no slides; we picked it up in Denver and planned to return it to Denver, but due to a medical emergency, had to return it to Las Vegas. We loved the RV from the moment we picked it up. It was clean, in good condition, it matched the website pictures, it was easy to drive and there were no mechanical (engine) issues. The Denver office team was great. They were on time, they did a thorough walk-through with us, answered all our questions, and gave us a few driving/camping tips. Their RVs are well maintained and we would definitely rent from Denver again. During our vacation, we had to contact the support team due to a few minor issues (microwave wasn’t working, they hadn’t given us a pressure regulator for the water hose). We left a message and they called us back within 30 minutes and the issues were resolved. One week into our 3-week trip, we had a medical emergency and needed to get home immediately. El Monte was sympathetic to our situation and helped us figure out how to get the RV back to base. At that point, unfortunately, we had a misunderstanding. I thought we could return the RV to Las Vegas rather than Denver, but when I returned it, I was charged a large recovery fee. After I got home, I contacted Customer Support, explained the situation, and provided documentation of my conversation with the support team. I had a response back from Customer Support within three days. They apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded the entire recovery fee. Before our initial decision to rent an RV, we spent hours researching RV rental companies - there are several in the Colorado-Utah-Nevada area. We chose El Monte over the others, because their price was competitive and they seemed to have mostly positive reviews. We love to camp and next trip we will definitely choose El Monte again, because they provided us with a clean, safe vehicle, they had good customer support, and they treated us fairly.

Pickup was very good, Sandra and staff were very helpful and answered all questions. Drop off was easy and very courteous.

We found at the first hookup, that the dump line was faulty and created a sanitation problem. There was a sharp conection on the foot of the main bed which cut skin as the bed was being made. We did like how the rig handled on the mountain roads as well as the freeway.

The main reason I gave 4 stars was,the refrigerator did not work, causing a very big problem. Made the outing very stressful, Was a chain of bad events, chasing ice and a ice chest that i had to buy, and it had a leak. The I went to the San Bernardino office to turn it in and ,Desiree did everything within her powers to make it better. She is the best thing about El Monte Rv.
