A terrible experience shopping with them for the first time (and the last for sure). I have been using Tigi hair products for about 5 years, buying them online and in stores, so i ran out of shampoo and conditioner and saw a promotion on ulta website about the large size products, Tigi was among the brands they had on sale. As you know large bottles 750ml and up need a pump dispenser to use them comfortably. You don’t wanna squeeze these huge heavy bottles all the time. From my experience i know that some of them already come with a pump dispenser and some don’t. Every time i ordered a bottle with dispenser on the product photo it always came with it. So without any doubts i chose a shampoo and a conditioner that had pumps on the product page photos. Needless to say i was surprised to receive them without pumps. The caps had sticky tape on top for “security” and when i untaped it a piece of label with information cale off with it. Not very nice either. So i contacted Ulta asking them where are my pumps if they had them on the photos of the product i ordered. And received the worst, completely stupid and uninvolved customer “support” service ever. 1 person told me to send the bottles back for replacement (so there are ones with the pumps!?? Replacement for what!?), another advised to take them to their physical shop and ask their staff to check in the store if these bottles come with dispenser (hello? Why do i need to spend my time to take them to your store guys? I am on my third trimester, i bought online the advertised product that said nothing about that i need to buy pumps seperately, does that make sense??) and the best solution was they send me a 5$ coupon to order the pumps from their website! Each pump costs 3$ +taxes and to get a free shipping you gotta buy products for 50$ :) ha ha. Seriously??

I've been to Ulta many times and have never had a problem. But recently, I had one particularly good experience there that I thought I should share. I stopped by to pick up a small item, and I had to bring my dad with me. He has Alzheimer's, but he's relatively young and doesn't look like he has this disease, so many strangers are confused by his inability to communicate effectively. So, while I was looking for what I wanted, he began talking to a couple of the employees about some unnamed woman who committed suicide (I later found out he was talking about Kate Spade), which is not really an appropriate thing to talk to a stranger about. So that must have been a terribly weird and confusing thing to hear, but they were nothing but polite to both of us. I wasn't surprised, but I am appreciative!

I purchased a hair dryer at Ulta. It doesn't matter which one, as my review is not about the dryer. When I got home and opened it, the plastic bag containing the hair dryer had been ripped open. Upon further inspection, I found lint on the lint screen. I still wanted to try the hair dryer to see if I liked it, but it didn't work. I could not get it to turn on. Tried different outlets in the house. Nothing. So someone purchased this item, used it long enough to accumulate lint on the screen, returned it, and Ulta put it back out on their shelf. This is not the first time I have purchased something at Ulta, only to get home and find out it had been used. I am done with this store.

Supervisor Cameron # 9006490 has no business being a supervisor. You should always try to make your customers happy no matter what. He had no concern that I was upset!! I spend a lot of money there and he said it was fine for me to stop using them and buy my products at other stores. My 2300.00 in 2018 wasn’t enough to make him care. So goodbye Ulta!!

This company has already wasted so much of my time I hate to take even more of it writing a review, but if this will help others, so be it. I make thousands upon thousands of online purchases a year and Ulta is a case study in doing absolutely everything wrong. I made the qualifying purchase for a promotion for Buy 2, Get 1 Free. Apparently it was my responsibility as the buyer to add the free item to the shopping cart. Every website I've ever interacted with adds the free item on the back end once the qualifying purchase is placed into the cart. At minimum, when I went to check out, it should have informed me I qualified for a promotion, and ask if I wanted it. I immediately contacted customer service by email after placing the order (it was late and after business hours) and then again first thing in the morning by chat, and when that agent told me it was my fault and there was nothing she would do, by phone, speaking to an agent and a supervisor who was useless. They told me it was too late to cancel the order (because it had been placed the day before, just before midnight), that they couldn't amend the order to either add the free product or reduce the quantity purchased from two to one of the product i paid for since I couldn't get the free product, that they couldn't place a separate order on their back end to send me the free product, nor could they send me a coupon for the equivalent amount of the cost of the product I should have received for free. All the while acknowledging that I in fact met the purchase requirements! What idiotic customer service department would want to create such anger in a customer for an obligation the customer clearly met is absurd. Stay away. Ulta isn't selling anything you can't buy numerous other places online. Good riddance.

My husband bought one of those perfume passes where you get several samples and then choose the one you like so you can redeem it for a bigger bottle. He had payed up front for the bigger bottle so all I needed to do was choose the scent and bring in the pass. I didn’t realize that the pass expired so I called hoping that customer service could help me out since I’m a loyal customer. Long story short- they did nothing to help me. There goes $50-60 down the drain. I should have never left Sephora for them.
