I love that Ulta have a lot of free gifts when buy with specific amount require. Also, customer services are great to support if I have any issue with my order.

4 stars for the long wait to get service. 5 STARS for ADRIENNE!! The wait for service was so long that I almost left the store. But the help and advice I received from Adrienne in the Toco Hills store in Atlanta was more than worth the wait. I have been wearing the products she showed me for over a week now and what a difference!! It looks natural, covers blemishes but is light weight, water resistant and doesn't rub off on my hands. Thank you Adrienne!!!

ive bought my perfumes, face wash, and makeup their and i like the quality of the stuff and the prices for some stuff might be a bit overpriced but tbhhhh it is a good store if you're going for quality especially for perfume.

I’ve not had to deal with their customer service yet (hope I never do based on these reviews) but I did have a freak out the other thinking my account had been hacked because it said something had been purchased at Broilingbrook IL which I’m no where near but turns out that’s just how they label their online orders. Reddit has a lot of people freaking out over that too. Also their prices are considerably higher than other beauty stores.

Good deals during the holidays

I find Ulta to be very generous and easygoing with customers. For instance, I read that Ulta often immediately reships packages that go missing after delivery and gives free and valuable gifts with purchases. From what I know, Sephora is more frugal about this. I once got a used product from Ulta, probably due to a busy Black Friday, and they sent another one without hesitation. However, Ulta takes longer to deliver orders to customers than Sephora. Ulta also offers frequent sales with generous discounts, amazing coupons on drugstore and prestige brands, and gift cards if you buy one. Additionally, it has one of the best rewards programs for beauty retailers: you can rack up points for all purchases (sometimes up to 5x) for more $$$ off any purchase. However, Sephora limits customers to $10 off each transaction if they choose to use points for a discount. Sephora also does not refund points after a return, but Ulta does. Despite all these good things about Ulta, I often go to Sephora ladies online for general product questions because they are generally significantly more knowledgeable than Ulta customer service associates. In person, the Sephora associates do better makeup, too. Hence, I wish Ulta hired people skilled in makeup for customer service. I also hope they begin to price match because sometimes items go on sale the following week. It feels like a waste of product to return and rebuy another unopened one because Ulta disallows buying the same opened product with a coupon (Sephora is the same). Finally, to improve its current rewards program, Ulta should also offer customers the chance to spend points on experiences and items (like Sephora’s Beauty Bazaar). Overall, I purchase from Ulta more because of the above reasons. However, if Ulta carried some Sephora-exclusive brands (Moroccan Oil, Innisfree, Paula’s Choice, etc.) and made those changes, I would buy everything there.
