If I could get to this box without leaving any stars I would. UHC doesn’t deserve anything! This insurance is criminal! You and your doctor have to jump through so many hoops to get anything done. So much corrupt gray area! There must be a lot of politicians in bed with United Health Care. Having this insurance is like having no insurance, but you’re still paying a high monthly price. The people in charge of UHC sicken me😡

Denial of Wife's High-Risk Pregnancy Claims
The below details how UHC made a conscious effort to deny the rightful claims of my wife's high-risk pregnancy.
Hello United Customer Service,
The following is a lengthy grievance regarding the quality of support your company provided me and my family regarding the denial of pregnancy claims for my wife, who was a high risk case, and my disdain for the quality of service and communication provided to us by your organization in denying our medical needs.
Today, I received a letter in the mail suggesting that our high-risk pregnancy claims for my wife were being denied because "we did not file an appeal in a timely manner". This is highly unacceptable, not because it is not within UHC's right to deny a claim, but because since receiving notice of our denied claims from last August, my wife and I spent numerous hours reaching out the UHC via phone calls and messages, and by the time a UHC representative told us (after we had been told UHC "was looking into our claim, we would hear back") that we needed to file a claim appeal, apparently the clock had - very conveniently - run out on our right to appeal.
The inability of this organization to provide knowledgeable support to members regarding the process they need to follow after multiple phone calls and messages regarding the denial of high-risk pregnancy claims, and then rejecting payment of said claims because we didn't "act in a timely manner" because your people told us to do no such thing, is farcical. As the little people who are your members, I am bitterly, bitterly disappointed in this organization in not responding to our needs in the manner that we needed, and then effectively blaming us for not doing what we were supposed to do when other messages and representatives told us to do otherwise.
As a result, I will continue to buy your insurance not at all because I want to but because I have no alternative. In the meantime, unless UHC intends to do the right thing and pay the high risk pregnancy claims it rightfully owes after denying them and having people so remarkably incompetent that they were unable to help us until the clock suspiciously ran out, I will do as much damage to your brand as I possibly can out of my absolute disdain for your unethical and shameful performance. I sincerely hope it is worth the $400 you have decided to screw my family out of because you could not do your job correctly.
With apologies to whoever reads this (because I know you individually are not responsible for the above failures of your company), I appreciate your time.

Then, after debilitating my livelihood with taking away my CCC Waiver, they tried to send another UHC home bound visit? Um, after explaining and listening, I could tell he was acting nice like Candace did an huh oh, you coming to declare me as she said with lies, give her support on finishing me off? Ok but I will have witnesses and it will be recorded, uh uh uh, I can't visit you...wow 2023 grow up#GreenEyeEnvy.... let's see what God chooses?

Over the counter credit are useless
I'm trying to buy over the counter products that are approved in my plan via the APP and MANY phones calls to Customer Service and yet EVERY time I purchase them they come out of my Rewards account and NOT out of my OTC account like they should. I've now spent over FOUR hours on the phone with more than SIX people and the answer is TOO BAD SO SAD!!!!!!!!!! That's how their computer works and there is nothing they can do to help me!!!! What kind of customer service or stupid computer system is this??

Wouldn’t recommend
Wouldn’t recommend, none of the agents can give a straight answer. They can’t explain anything on your plan. You can’t understand all the foreigners and nobody speaks clear English. They dont even cover birth control pills like every single other insurance does. A very small list, and expects you to switch after being on one for years that finally works. It shows your benefits cover an office visit but then it doesn’t and you have to submit your claim over and over before they finally pay. It’s a mess and takes hours on the phone to get a clear straight answer. Not a good company at all. Go with BCBS

UHC STOPS AARP/UHC MEDICARE…
UHC STOPS AARP/UHC MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE. This LIFE-THREATENING, FINANCIALLY DEVASTING NO AARP UNITED HEALTH CARE (UHC) MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH INSURANCE HAPPENS BECAUSE UHC CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS are untrained or do not know what's required to insure your coverage continues. When monthly premium(s) are not accepted/not paid according to UHC, UHC WILL NOT TELL YOU via EMAIL, A CALL, OR TEXT that YOUR COVERAGE STOPS DUE TO NONPAYMENT. UHC says you have a 30-day 'grace period' to make payment'; this is not true all the time. My one-time payments two months in a row were recorded as paid by UHC and then reversed; THIS MEANT I HAD NO COVERAGE - I checked online the following day after payments and saw the payment received but did not check 5 days later after each repeated one-time payments to be sure I was insured. Altogether the time period exceeded the 30-day 'grace period'! If you stop payment due to a bank account issue (hacking or cash-flow/timing) with your bank stopping payment AARP/UHC, UHC online premium payment records show payment and then UHC reverses the payment about 5 days later if your bank continues to stop all UHC payments. All UHC and AARP INSURED CLIENTS MUST KNOW THAT YOU THE INSURED MUST TELL your BANK TO LIFT THE 'STOP PAYMENT'; UHC REPS DO NOT KNOW THIS AND WILL NOT TELL YOU. UHC reps assure you are insured and not to worry because the 30-day payment 'grace period' is in force and covers you. UHC IS NOT PROTECTING ITS AARP-INSURED CLIENTS; UHC is a potentially life-threatening and financially-devasting health insurance provider. In the worse case, UHC may cause death and drain all your financial resources leaving you penniless - in poverty! I chose Plan G. If I could I would rate AARP/UHC health coverage a negative infinitiy.

UHC presents their dental policy with…
UHC presents their dental policy with free preventive care but read the fine lines and there's a $1,500 cap so if you had a dental implant your preventive care is not covered. This is so wrong!

The OTC provider is terrible
The OTC provider is terrible. Many products are backordered but they don't tell you unless you call. It can take weeks or months to get orders. They won't even consider a refund for 12 business days. The call center is understaffed and overburdened so hold times even when asking for a supervisor is almost an hour.
