Worst company to have insurance though, they deny legitimate claims without doing research in hopes you don't appeal their WRONG DECISION. At least snake oil salesman have some sort of personality other that that of a vulture. Bad bad people.

Absolute joke of an organization to deal with. Offshore customer service that you can't understand, lack of accountability and follow-through.

Worst company I've ever worked with. It took them 3 months to send my member ID, even just the electronic one. I had to call them and they said their team was busy and "forgot". By the time I got the actual member ID, I had already moved to a different state. I informed them of this, but they never canceled my plan and so I was billed for months while living in a different state. Had to call them for refunds and to amend my tax forms. Absolute nightmare.

I just got off the phone with a representative an advocate they call it from United healthcare from India could not understand a word he was saying for now and I will not talk to anybody unless they’re in this country. The US will not talk to anybody again from any other country.

United Healthcare changed their PPO plan members to an HMO plan in the system. When they did this in November of 2025, thousands of members lost their coverage and their medical bills were not paid for the remainder of the year. I am one of those members. Several doctors that I had services at in December 2025 contacted me to let me know that United Healthcare is stating that I don't have coverage and my bills will not be paid. My doctors office's also stated that I could be turned over to collections. I called the customer service number and they told me that this will happen to me every year if I change my insurance plan. Sounds illegal to me, and it is. I called back and requested to speak to a supervisor, after holding for 35 minutes someone from India with poor English told me that they would resubmit the claims and they will get paid. I am not holding my breath and I am not choosing United Healthcare for my insurance.

My original UHC plan was cancelled in 2025 statewide. It has been replaced with a plan with higher copays and referrals for my longstanding specialist treating me for 2 different cancers, my cataract surgeon, and my pain management specialist for spinal stenosis. Just spent 45 minutes with NE Medical Group reps getting referrals set up for these specialist. This new process is onerous. It is ongoing treatment for pre-existing conditions. It only benefits a greedy insurance company hoping an aging population will forget to get the referral within the 6 month window. More hoops to jump through to benefit the insurer.

What can I say about a company that decided not to cover people in my state. My state gave an extension to March 31, 2026 with United Healthcare then coverage stops. This is what our country has come to. Buying Greenland makes more sense then taking care of us peons! I no longer view anything on a scale of fairness, because our country is now only the haves and have-nots. Maybe, I'm just waking up to the realization of the truth that people like me are disposable like lint. I realize people only speak-up when it's something that affects their tiny sandbox. Well, I've always helped anyone in need. Regardless of all the stigmas different ethnic groups have been labeled with, I lend a helping hand. My grandparents taught me better. Good luck, to other Americans it's a slippery slope and uncle Sam will not come to your defense! My 2 Senators that represent me are clowns! They're just along for the ride and they rubberstamp anything to agree with the boss! Thanks United Healthcare for waking me up to the truth about America.
