I am not at all happy about them reducing my food benefits from $174 to $117. My EBT WAS REDUCED TO $50 from $100. I live BELOW POVERTY LEVEL & STRUGGLE for food I had a house fire and my dog was killed and my mate of 20 YEARS WAS MURDERED I HAD NO HOUSE INSURANCE AND NOW IM TRYING TO KEEP CODE ENFORCEMENT FROM TAKING MY HOME I OWN AND MAKING ME HOMELESS. SO THE LEAST UHC COULD DO IS GIVE ME A DECENT ALLOWANCE FOR FOOD

Very disappointed in the service provided by their telephone customer service reps! Not only are there issues with reps who speak English as a second language, they don't seem to understand how United Healthcare works! I will give most agents high marks for being friendly and polite. However, most of them are very UNSKILLED. I needed information on a pre-authorization and was connected to someone in that department. After listening to me explain the situation, the 'advocate' then tells me that he does not work in that department! Another time I had a question about whether or not United Healthcare had a preferred provider relationship with any mail-order pharmacies that could be engaging in direct-to-patient telephone solicitations. The agent denied that possibility. Upon further personal research I learned that UHC OWNS the PBM "Optum Rx" therefore it is quite likely that UHC has shared my personal health data with its own PBM that has initiated automated telephone solicitations! UHC claims that subscriber patients can choose the pharmacy they'd like to use, but that contractual promise may not be entirely true. When it comes to medications that must be obtained from specialty pharmacies, patient choice may not be the case! After speaking with telephone agents at UHC, it feels like having been lied to. But I don't believe that the agents have deliberately tried to deceive. I just think that they're incompetent and that such ineptitude might be because of poor training by UHC management.

Got email from United HealthCare billing departmnet. said I was The denied claim above is for medical services incurred after your disenrollment date." I was and am a member of United healthcare Medicare advantage. So I called the billing department, and was told a different story.... this time my Dr's were not "in network" so I was to pay for the 2 office visits.... When I said both of the Dr's and facilities are indeed "in network" they guy checked and admitted they were indeed in network. He said he would appeal and not to worry that I would have claims paid, and yes, both were in-network. Terrible customer service and billing department !!!!!!!!! NEVER go with UNITED HEALTHCARE!

Sucks!! Got charged twice once $45 and another $587 on the 9th. Called multiple times and was promised a reimbursement within 5-7 days. Nothing still! In one month I paid 12.6 months of insurance but I know they'll do this scam again.

United Healthcare is such a joke when it comes to using its card in grocery stores etc. It never works and when I call, I cannot get information when/if amounts were loaded because the reps, in this case Mike, could not see it. My card does not work, so 4.00 was being deducted from it, as they wanted new fees for another new card- absurd. Also, the benefit for using a chiropractor has diminished to me paying cash! Honestly, this company is nothing, but a total joke! I asked who else I could talk with and I was told to go on-line-really? No one or chat is online either, so totally frustrated!

I am a patient who originally had United healthcare Insurance when I had my Labs drawn in Dothan, Alabama at Dothan Hypertension. Months later I was able to get another plan other than United Healthcare. Later on, I received the bill. I call LabCorp yesterday 01/15/2026. She was very patient and willing to help but advised me to call United healthcare to see if I could get my ID information and call back. I did get my ID and their address. By the time I called back, it was approximately 3:45 pm, so another lady took the call but I couldn't understand her language then someone else got on the phone, this lady was worse. She was loud, rude, over talking me while I was trying to explain my situation. She kept asking me for my insurance information which I have given several times, then she couldn't understand my situation or didn't want to understand. I asked if I could speak to the original lady I had earlier, she said I couldn't because she could help but she didn't. I was very upset and felt disrespected. I'm 65, and trying to talk while someone else is raising their voice isn't appreciated. So, I hung up the phone. So, Today, I called to try to explain, Some foreign man answered. I was able to give him my ID information, and immediately he said "disregard the letter, we will refile the insurance, It's no need for anything else, have a good day then hung up.

On Jan 1, 2026 I changed insurance companies & began using UHC. I regret it. The customer service is horrendous. I was double-charged on my initial premium. On each of my 1st 2 calls, I was told I would be reimbursed in 5-7 business day. After each period passed, it did not happen. It took a 3rd call to get reimbursed. Also, I made multiple calls to find out why a claim was rejected. Each time, the person would put me on hold while they "investigated". Then, either the connection would be lost or the person would never return, even after 20 minutes. I was with Moda Health which had fantastic customer service. I changed to get a slightly cheaper premium & regret it.
