I wish I had found these reviews prior to signing up for a month. While they matched me with a therapist relatively quickly, she was very slow to respond, always late to our appointments, and missed 2 of 4 completely telling me that they "weren't in TalkSpace" when I have the screenshot of the confirmation. For anyone seeking serious therapy, avoid this fraudulent scam. I would have gotten more therapeutic relief for my $350 had I just donated it to charity. Naturally I'm not eligible for a refund.

Do not use Talkspace. I have insurance that I have asked probably 10 times now "do you accept Talkspace?" And the answer was yes each time. I signed up for Talkspace with my insurance info and was billed the full amount. The therapist I was paired with honestly seemed almost like a bot with their replies but I just wanted them to add my insurance info to my file. I immediately paused my plan. They do not have a number you can call so I was sending customer support in app messages that they weren't replying to. Finally I got a few replies. Gave them my insurance info. And they told me. We need PROOF that your insurance covers Talkspace. I was like. Wait what? You call the number. For providers. Here. Here's the number. Here's a screenshot of my chat with an insurance agent saying that Talkspace is covered. It was the same torturous loop of them refusing to add my insurance or refund my payment. Finally I started asking for a full refund weeks ago and they only got back to me today and I'm not even sure if they're gonna refund me the full amount.

From everything I have heard and know both clinical staff, and clients are often dismissed when there are true needs to be addressed. No good at all to deal with that type of scenario. I asked a follow up question related to my own account and billing. A week later, no clarification or response. No show of help or care.

I don’t understand how this company is meant for mental health (depression, anxiety, etc) but has no form of communication whatsoever. There is no customer service phone number, only emails which took over a week to get a response. I couldn’t even book an appointment with my EAP due to constant error. I can’t imagine how severely depressed or suicidal people can wait weeks for a response. The website is easy to navigate but the constant errors you receive is honestly not worth it. The quality of care is an absolute joke. The counselors seem uninterested giving minimal response, if they even respond. I recommend Betterspace or Brightside which provides medications and therapy or medication only. They are a little more pricey but the quality you get from them is 5x better than the care you get from Talkspace (if you want to call it care lol).

Talkspace is an absolute joke. No “therapist” ever reached out or returned a message. I was assigned one and messaged them and they never responded. Then, when I received absolutely zero services, they refused to refund my whole amount. They offered half. I explained to them that I never even got services to begin with and I am still waiting on a response. A one star review is being too generous.

I would actually give this app 0 stars if I could. I received access via my companies employee program where I get 4 free sessions. My therapist was amazing, I loved her… but then my sessions ran out. I spent 5 weeks trying to contact Talkspace (who does not have phone customer service so everything was via email… which took weeks to get a response) only to he told they don’t accept my actually insurance. But if I call my insurance with a reference number and get written confirmation they would help me further. Even though my insurance company already confirmed my coverage with Talkspace. I can’t imagine being someone in a life or death counseling situation who couldn’t go 5 weeks without talking to their counselor. The worst part was I couldn’t even contact my counselor. So she literally has no idea what happened, and I can’t afford to pay $400 a month to continue with her out of pocket.

I had an intro call with my new provider, the video and audio quality is extremely poor, constantly frozen, we couldn't make out what the other person was saying at all. It's a waste of money and time. I had 3 providers so far, none of them is responsive or engaged. I get an average of 3 replies per week, they all just send me generic PDFs to read and fill in my goals, but they don't seem to actually have time to read what I've written or to provide any personalized feedback.

I signed up two months ago and am yet to have a session with a therapist. None of the therapists seem to have their schedule up to date and they don't have availability. When I finally found one with availability, my session was cancelled with less than 12 hours notice. I wanted to try therapy to help with stress, not add to it.
