Absolutely horrid software that demands a card and charges it before you can even select what service your seeking. They ignored my initial customer service inqueries but the auto assigned therapist did message me right away to ask me to complete filling our my emergency contact information before even selecting the service and an appointment i wanted! I got charged for having 0 sessions!

The psychiatrist I talked to was awesome. She calmly walked me through some steps I needed to take and made some very helpful suggestions. I am going to miss her. So why the negative review? Their customer service is awful! My psychiatrist had to take some time off, which meant that I wouldn't be able to see her for most of the month. Talkspace took two weeks to reply to my request for clarification (yes, TWO weeks!!) and basically told me - tough luck on the month.

Practitioners were great. I left because they wouldn’t let me update my plan because they said my account account was past due, past due, for renewal only. All of my visits have been paid. It’s utter rubbish to charge someone so that they can change their subscription! They’re basically forcing me to pay in advance for services I want to change before they give me access to change it!! They’ve lost business as I was only reducing my plan to one practitioner, and was also about to pay for my daughter to get counseling. In addition the low ratings and negative reviews I’ve seen them garner for these policies, they should be even more concerned on how these types of policies affect their customers who are struggling with Metal health issues on top of the normal stress that this type of treatment and situation causes! UNETHICAL PRACTICES.

I tried for 6 weeks to get their useless support team to give me an itemized copy of my superbill for submission to FSA. I would get an email response asking for dates, I'd provide this same information over and over and get told it was being sent to "billing" and then never hear anything. As of today, I have 5 tickets submitted and no resolution. The quality of care was garbage, I had one therapist who never spoke during our session except at the end where her sage advice to me was to go post a Tik Tok. Another therapist didn't bother to show up and then was rude to me when I messaged her about it. Switching providers is a joke, I requested a female therapist and kept being continually matched to a male provider. The UI on the site is terrible you are forced to review providers you aren't even able to see due to scheduling challenges. I had one woman tell me she only sees clients at 7 am or 8 pm. Overall a crappy experience.

I booked a Talkspace session because I was really stressed about my job and my relationship. I paid $35 (copay) and showed up to my live session at my allotted time slot. I waited there for 10 minutes and nobody showed up, and then I got an email telling me that "my provider missed my session." I tried to switch providers, but whenever I'd get to the final step of switching, I'd just get a message saying "something went wrong -- check your internet connection and try again." I tried that about 3 more times with the same result. My internet connection is completely stable. I came into this experience optimistic about finally getting some help and having someone to talk to, and I left it feeling even more stressed and frustrated. Talkspace, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

This review is purely for the process of trying to redeem a gift card of one month of free therapy with Talkspace, I haven't even been able to BOOK a session yet. I reached out to Talkspace customer service originally in early January 2023 to redeem a gift certificate of one month of free therapy, my chief complaint is that when I log onto the site I'm not able to redeem it. After a back and forth of emails for over a month (mind you I was severely depressed) I still have no resolution. They technical side seems to be lacking the ability to offer a solution on how to redeem my gift certificate and they won't offer a refund for it. While I give them credit for responding and trying to fix the problem, it shouldn't take over a month, perhaps more, to find a resolution. Every time they send a new link it always brings me back to the page in which I need to choose a payment plan which is infuriating because it feels like they're baiting me. At this point I have yet to speak to a therapist and they have failed to deliver a solution, very disappointed with this service.

Talkspace has no customer service they charged me $316 and another $396 for one session, this company is a scam. I was at a point where I see my therapist once a month and they offer no plans for once a month. and to get someone to help with your issues is an email and 3 days later you get a response and still in the same situation

It's a scam, stay away. Talkspace was recommended by my health insurance, Aetna. Talkspace verfied the accepted my insurance, however, the problem is you cannot verify if your provider is in or out of network. There is no way to check, no way to verify if the person you're being matched with is in network. And from what I can gather they are all out of network. Lastly, you don't know that you're being billed unless you go to your app settings look under customer service and then check under "tickets“, as in technical issue request tickets, for your f****** invoice. It's a scam. If they had any intention of being upfront, you would be able to determine easily if the provider THEY are matching you with is in network or not. And you would see it clearly marked under your account "Invoices/Billing". They are intentionally misleading people and cashing in on the Mental Health crisis in this country.
