Switched from BetterHelp thinking this was a better product and I was wrong! It's a terrible platform. I tried several different providers, and I guess I maxed out because I'm only left with two options; regardless of which gender I choose, it's the same two people. I shouldn't have to send a complaint to Talkspace Co.'s customer service to select and decide which therapist would work for ME. Ridiculous. If you're charging me $280, the least your company can do is have an abundance of therapists. The only positive thing about this platform is the UI and seamless phone audio quality. I'm thinking about canceling my subscription after this. Betterhelp has many, many flaws, but at least their selection is endless and I, myself, can choose my own therapist instead of depending on "provider matches".

I signed up for text only therapy. The entire experience felt like a sales push to get me to spend more money with calls or more types of counseling even after I made it clear I wasn’t able to do that at this time. The therapist did not answer any specific questions I had and never continued the thread of conversation from one day to the next. She would send a pre-done “tip of the week” that didn’t even have enough tips in it to not repeat itself within a 4 week time period and that was the entirety of her texting for one day of the week so really it was only 4 days a week of crappy responses from her. I cancelled after a month because it was so disappointing.

I randomly received a message that my insurance expired and I needed to update my insurance. I confirmed with my insurance that it did not expire and the sessions through Talkspace were still covered however I couldn’t get it verified through the Talkspace app. Talkspace does not have a phone number to call and you have to submit tickets. No response after 2 weeks and now my daughter is having the same issue with no response or resolution. We have a great provider that we don’t want to lose but the platform is not helping at all!

I loved my therapist, but a glitch in their system decided I don't have insurance coverage (I do and confirmed twice with my insurer that nothing has changed), and they started cancelling my appointments. After 3 weeks of cancelled appointments and no help at all from their support staff (they stopped responding to my emails a week ago and they do not have any other way to reach them for help!), I am leaving their service. I do not recommend Talkspace and will spread the word on my experience.

The worst experience of my life. I did not feel comfortable with the psychologist that I was originally assigned to, she lacked in listening skills, she put false information on my medical record, she tried forcing prescription medication on me. I was able to get in touch with Customer Service, but my needs/concerns have yet been addressed and it's been over 12 days since I reached out to get those concerns addressed.

Booked a 45 minute session with someone. It felt unprofessional. I could hear kids in the background, the tv was going, maybe this just isn't for me. After my first session my therapist dropped me as a patient, and I'm not sure why. It made me feel even more alone, and frustrated.

Their platform glitched and wouldn’t let me in for my meeting with my psychiatrist. So not only did i have to go days without my medication, they changed me $175 for missing the meeting THEY made me miss.

I haven't yet had the chance to speak with anyone.
