My son had his first session scheduled for today. The therapist was a no show. Pretty damn disappointed. The therapist should be ashamed of himself.

The provider was EXCELLENT. High quality. Admin is AWFUL. You will encounter problems, and you may only email. Then you will only receive a generic reply that goes nowhere. You might not be able to connect. You might receive a notification that your insurance is invalid or cancelled, when no such thing occurred. You may have billing problems with no solution. If you have minor needs and you pay out-of-pocket, this might work for you. If you want to avoid extra stress at a bad time in your life, Talkspace is not for you. Disappointed with Talkspace's Timeliness and Value As someone who values prompt communication and sought self-improvement, I was drawn to Talkspace's promise of convenient online counseling. However, my experience with the service has left much to be desired. Upon signing up, I expected to have the flexibility to text my counselor whenever I needed guidance and receive timely responses. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case. Despite paying a considerable amount out of pocket, I've found it challenging to get timely feedback from my counselor. I've sent multiple messages, only to receive sparse responses, which is disheartening given the expense of the service. While I understand that therapy is a demanding profession, and counselors may have heavy caseloads, the lack of responsiveness has been frustrating. It's evident that Talkspace's system may be overwhelmed, and it's failing to meet the needs of its users effectively. For anyone seeking a counseling service that prioritizes timely communication and reliable feedback, I would caution against choosing Talkspace. While it may work for some, it's clear that the service falls short of its advertised promises. In my opinion, those in need of immediate support or guidance would be better off exploring other options. In conclusion, while Talkspace may have its merits, its inability to deliver on its core promise of timely communication and support makes it difficult to justify the expense. Proceed with caution and consider alternative services that prioritize responsiveness and value for money.

Signed up for counseling services at $60 for one 30 minute session. Was immediately charged $289.00 ($279.00 and $10.00) and was not informed about recurring subscription charges. Unforeseen circumstances occurred and I had to cancel the service the day prior to my first scheduled appointment. I decided to cancel the service all together due to financial hardship. Is Talkspace going to deny a full refund? There were no services rendered at all and I canceled within the time allowed according to their cancelation policy.

Today I opened my online banking app. And what did I find? An unauthorized charge from Talkspace. I haven't used Talkspace since 2022. I did not have any outstanding balance. Talkspace has no real customer service so this is what they get— a public post about how Talkspace fraudulently billed my account.

Received and email from my employer regarding EAP benefits. Talkspace was listed as a provider. I signed up on October 4 2023. They provided a therapist to speak to online. The therapist never provided any support. All the therapist did was keep asking me questions. I stop responding by the second question. Now in December they charged me $125.00 stating it’s for services from October 4th. When I signed up it stated there was no charge. Due to my EAP and insurance. Why did it take 2 months from date of service to bill me? Now they are stating no refund. You charged me for a service you didn’t provide and that’s obvious since it took you months later to do so.

No Chinese American (or even Asian American) therapists available! Insane

My therapist listened and guided me at my tempo. She offered several resources for assistance and has been my advocate.
