I initially talked to a psychiatrist who blew me off and told me she would have to retest me to accept my existing diagnosis. She then proceeded to assign me to a therapist who was a complete mismatch, based on her bio. When I called back to try and schedule another therapist, I was told a request could be put in, but the pychiatrist was responsible for assigning therapists, so I could not choose my therapist.

My experience with Dr. Sargent has been incredible. I felt truly heard. He really got down to the bottom of things for me and got my life back on track. I don’t know where I’d be in my life without him. Thank you!!

Seeing the doctor here was a waste of my time and over $700 (AFTER insurance for only 2 appointments) and when I tried to request records there was never a record of the assessment I took to diagnose my ADHD so now I have to start all over .

I’m getting my life back though my diagnosis is lifelong, it’s becoming manageable and I’m feeling like myself more and more after each session.

I had an incredibly disappointing and hurtful experience with Dr. [Name Redacted], DO at Talkiatry. Despite the fact that I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, Dr. [Name Redacted] told me that ADHD “goes away” in adulthood and seemed to forget I had even mentioned it earlier in our session. That alone was disheartening—but it got worse. She insisted that stimulants were the only treatment option and flat-out refused to consider anything else unless I stopped using a legal substance in my state (one for which I can obtain a medical card). She showed zero interest in working with me or finding a reasonable solution that took my full situation into account. Most upsetting of all, she pressed me for immediate, specific details about what caused my PTSD—despite my visible discomfort. It was extremely painful to talk about, and I felt cornered rather than supported. That’s not how trauma-informed care should look. Later in the session, I expressed frustration with the Department of Veteran Affairs. I used strong language (not directed at her), and she became visibly irritated. Despite saying I was in a “safe space,” her tone and body language said otherwise. This was not a safe, compassionate, or attentive interaction. It left me feeling worse than before I reached out for help. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. [Name Redacted] to anyone—especially veterans or trauma survivors.

Absolute scam. I reached out to get diagnosed for ADHD, and was scheduled for a 60 min visit. During this 60 mins, my doctor spent the first 30+ minutes asking me answers to the same 50 questions that I had just taken time to answer before the visit. After that, he spent the next 30 minutes talking about what ADHD was. Turns out, I was billed $460 JUST for the initial visit, and an additional $250 for "Supportive Therapy" (which I never asked for, consented to, or received). Before the end of my visit, the doctor scheduled a follow up call a few weeks later. I agreed to it, not knowing any of the charges that were associated with these visits. The next visit was 30 mins (which the doctor was 5 minutes late for), and I was still charged $350 for a "follow up visit" and another $250 for more "supportive therapy", which I never received. I've basically been billed over $1,200 for 90 minutes of someone telling me stories about people with ADHD and asking me questions I had already filled out. I've reported them to the BBB and am working with my insurance to get these charges removed. This company is 100% a scam, don't go anywhere close to them. Edit: LMAO they replies with every complaint is taken with the utmost care… you mean care as in you haven’t responded to my last four emails with your billing department???

My doctor is Amazing! He’s very nice, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and I can tell he’s concerned about my well being. I’m so happy I took the chance with Talkiatry.
