Waste of time and money. Was told I needed labs, ekg, and a review of all prior RX via eforce database….of the prescribed medication I have been taking.
After that is submitted, a follow up appointment 5 weeks later was scheduled. So, Basically 6 weeks of this just to get refills of the same medication I have
been taking for 20+. This still happened Despite me having all of that updated info completed prior to my very 1st visit!! I also had all of the eforce info due to being a medical provider myself! This is why mental health has become a national Concern!! These psychiatrist are a scam and incompetent!

I would just say to read through the reviews and not just look at the rating. Many reviewers are creating their own issues with the tech, billing, fees, etc. My experience has been exceptional! I have had two great Doc's because my regular went out on maternity. They use the healow app which is easy to use, has all info in one place, and you can log onto appts right from the app. I have had to message my doc several times because the pharmacy was out of my script. They responded within an hour and sent the script to another pharmany right away. Too many people like to blame others for their own incompetence. Easy, private, great docs, great app, couldn't be happier!

Talkiatry is despicable
Talkiatry is despicable. I literally have never had a company that I have had a worse experience with. My psychiatrist literally did not show up for my appointment but they charged ME a no-show fee, and even though I've sent them multiple emails, they have essentially completely ghosted me and have refused to respond. They are taking advantage of people with mental health issues as not everyone would be willing to fight a bill like this. They delete negative comments from their Instagram but as you can see from these reviews they cheat people out of their money constantly. I cannot believe I was charged a no-show fee for an appointment that my DOCTOR did not show up for. Like I literally almost never leave negative reviews but I'm literally going out of my way to leave negative reviews for every platform I can find Talkiatry because of how awful and traumatic my experience has been. If you value your mental health do not use this company !!!!!

Both appointments I had were off to the worst start. My psychiatrist was great, but the platform is terribly UX-unfriendly. The link brought me to a platform, the audio wasn't working, I logged off only to realize there was no more link to click on. After calling customer service, they weren't able to help me log back in. The distance between you and the psychiatrist is worlds away. How are you supposed to deal with mental health issues if the platform makes it virtually impossible to navigate?

Abruptly discharged after failing to respond within 10 days
After being a VERY happy patient for over 2 years seeing both a psychiatrist and psychologist, I failed to respond to an email request to schedule a follow-up appointment with my psychiatrist *within 10 days* and was abruptly discharged with no ability to appeal the decision. Now I'm told I am banned from the service for a year. I am shocked and appalled and extremely stressed out given that I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy and suffer from anxiety and depression. I can't believe a mental health company could treat its customers this way.

Months of Billing Dept. Issues and Arbitrary Promises
I would set my date of experience to be a date range if I could. I have had the same issues as many have described in their reviews.
Prior to my first appointment in the beginning of April, I uploaded my insurance information to their document uploader multiple times over multiple weeks. I was still getting emails about my insurance info being needed. Thinking it off, I emailed- sending my insurance info via email two different ways and asking for confirmation that it was received. I got confirmation from someone that it was received. Night before my first appointment I got an email saying my appointment was canceled due to me not submitting my insurance info. I was told my policy ended Feb 2022 which is not correct because it became ACTIVE Oct 2022 and I am definitely insured. I called right after receiving that email and spoke to someone for a long time who opened a support ticket and confirmed they could see the insurance info I had sent multiple times.
Weeks and weeks go by, with me calling and speaking to multiple people who promised “you’ll hear back within 48 hours, call back if you haven’t heard back”, “you’ll hear back within the week”, “within 2 weeks”, “within 4-6 weeks” (in that order, with my waiting the requested time each time). I even had my insurance email my eligibility and benefits to Talkiatry to prove I was insured, and still they “needed to verify my insurance” weeks after that.
I’ve had multiple appointments at this point and Talkiatry have finally flooded my insurance with claims. I love my doctor, they’re AMAZING and are why I continued going. The people you speak to are nice, but obviously something isn’t quite right with communication between departments or something. The billing system and arbitrarily given time promises really negatively affect my experience with Talkiatry. There should be a definitive system in place. Mentally, the issues don’t help and that is definitely not the intended outcome for my care.

Beware of hidden fees and shady services
I reached out to Talkiatry for psychiatric services after they came recommended. After speaking extensively with customer care before setting an appointment, I was told to expect to be billed at $200-$300. However, this is a complete lie. The company charged me $253.19 just for attending the Zoom call, which they call an "office visit". This charge outweighed the actual psychiatrist fee by over $100 (the cost to see the psychiatrist was only $174 which is on par for these types of services). They did not note these charges upfront when directly asked, and billed me over $400 for 1 therapy session while trying to get me to commit to a 2nd session in 2 weeks' time. I do want to note the actual psychiatrist was awesome and gave great service. However, I would advise avoiding this platform at all costs, as it's clear they do not care for mental well-being and only seek to drain clients of money in their times of need.

I wish I could give this company 0…
I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I have had a great experience with the physicians I have worked with here. And that is where the positivity ends. The administration of Talkiatry is, without question, the most rude, incompetent, ineffective, and unresponsive business I have ever worked with. The clerical department is staffed with people who cannot answer basic questions and continually fail to respond to issues with billing, scheduling, and other coordination. Half of the people I have spoken to have such poor English (I am US based) that I’ve been unable to communicate with them. The company also uses low budget phone lines or something of that nature because these discussions always get chewed up by static. On multiple occasions I’ve had physicians leave the practice and it has been a disaster rescheduling appointments, including one period where it took about 4 months of follow up calls to schedule a new doctor meeting. The office ignores preference requests (ie, for a psychologist instead of a social worker) and fails to record details in notes about patience. All together this business is a nightmare run by people who clearly invest 0 in employee or patient experience. Avoid at all costs.
