Worst experience ever with this website. - First I had to phone them because I couldn't manage my booking online (website not working), that did the changes for me - Then when I picked up the car, they inform me that I had to pay extra charges the agent on the phone didn't mention, despite I repeatedly asked her to give me the full price of the rent. - Also at the car office, they inform me the insurance the agent offered me as a "comprehensive insurance" wasn't actually a full cover, so I had to pay again extra for the proper full cover insurance. This is a scam service. I ended up paying double the price I was expecting, and ruined the start of my holidays. Never booking through rentalcars.com again.

The worst rental company I rented week in advance and on the day when I went to pick up they didn't had the car available and now it's been weeks and they haven't refund me yet

Terrible! We rent a car from Europcar but they ask us to pay a lot extra for the child seat, before we do that we do not get the car. Rentalcars says the amount is for 8 days, Europcar says it's for one day. Both do not come to a solution for us. Cancel the reservation costs money, getting the car costs extra money. What a thiefs!

We rent a car through this company and we did call them few times to make sure they know we are talking the car out of UK.they send us an email which is said we can take the car abroad. When we went to get the car we been told we can't take the car out of UK because the rentalcar company didn't let the Alamo rental car know we are traveling out of UK and they couldn't sort the insurance in few hours.Because of rentalcar mistake we lost our holiday . When we complain they didn't do anything .

Fast, cheap,easy with the app (no forms) extra insurance possible. Never had a problem at the airport. Last week I canceled a car-reservation. Money back in 2 days.

I booked through these scammers for a car at Edinburgh Airport With another scam company Greenmotion. Rental cars took 311 quid of me from my Visa Debit card, for the car hire including 58 quid for protection cover. I never received any booking confirmation from Rental Car and nothing from Greenmotion. I contacted Greenmotion who confirmed eventually my booking. When I went to pick up the car Greenmotion said I would have to pay a premium of 588 quid because it was a Visa Debit card and not a credit card. I said the payment had already been taken from rental cars and there was no need for any more payment. No chance Green motion said the payment through Rental cars had nothing to do with them. I cancelled the car and told them they were scammers as well. I have contacted Rental Cars customer service, Phone call and Email and have now dealt with 7 different people who are all putting up barriers to my refund. I have now initiated a refund through my bank as a fraudulent transaction and rental cars said they will give me my protection sum back but not the rental cost. DO NOT USE RENTALCARS.com.

i was late at the desk and they charged me a brand new rental car in addition to the prepaid sum at booking !!! even if the car I originally booked was available ( in fact they gave it to me !) cherry on the cake is that the rental car company did not pick up the phone when trying to alert of the delay. stay away
