Rentalcars.comReviews of renatlcars.com

The terms and conditions state they will return your deposit after you return the car. What they dont tell you us up to 28 days later. If this was advertised I would not use them. Then they say they are not responsible for currency change sk you may not get the whole amount back. So keep my money and hope to profit from exchange rate. Not clear terms and conditions up front. I have rented cars all over the world and this is the first time this has happened to us. Criminals

Another 1 star review to join the other 94%! Don't you listen to your customers??? Rented a car and brought with me 4 credit cards with enough funds, but didn't get the car because it was debit cards. Didn't get a refund either. So paid for a car, waited an hour in the sun to get picked up at the airport, and didn't get my payment back! Will never use them again.

While convenient, I would suggest to not let the laziness get the better of you. In case of any issues, like OK Mobility keeping my deposit for 3+ weeks even though claiming they are releasing it now upon return, they do nothing but back the bad services of that company. They are also covering the mess up by giving them "great reviews" on their platform, even though outside on Trustpilot they are getting hammered

Rented through Drive S.A at Aktion Airport (Preveza) via Rentalcars.com. Genuinely felt scammed at pickup. My voucher said credit card required for the deposit. I only had a debit card, which had more than enough funds to cover the full €930 deposit. Staff refused to accept it outright and told me the only way to proceed was to pay an extra €260 to €270 “insurance” fee to lower the excess so a debit card could be used instead. That's nearly the cost of the entire rental, just to use a card that had the funds sitting right there. Totally dumbfounding. Here's the part that really got me. After making me pay that extra fee specifically because I "couldn't" use a debit card, they then went ahead and charged the €930 deposit AND the extra fee to that exact same debit card anyway. If the debit card was fine to take hundreds of euros from, it should have been fine for the original deposit. Made the whole thing feel like a deliberate way to squeeze more money out of travellers who don't have a credit card on them. For comparison, I used the same debit card with Europcar in Italy on the same trip with zero issues. I'm now seeking a full refund of that extra €260 to €270 fee, as I don't believe it was justified given the debit card was clearly accepted for every other charge on this rental. Wouldn't recommend Drive S.A. Be very careful with payment terms if you're using this supplier.

WARNUNG!
