I had a very bad experience with rentalcars.com recently in Mykonos Airport. I booked a car on the rentalcars.com website in advance, the car was actually booked with the Volta4u agency which is a car rental agency recommended by rentalcars.com. I simply could not take the car, the agency manager rejected all my cards for the deposit, claiming that they were all debit cards. Instead he wanted cash for the deposit, which I refused. I reported the experience to rentalcars.com by email (they were not reachable by phone), they replied that I could not get a refund in such a situation. I completely lost the amount of the car rental fee. I don't want to hear any more of rentalcars.com and Volta4u. You should absolutely avoid these 2 companies. KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE IS NO AFTER SALE SERVICE WITH RENTALCARS.COM, even though you get a message such: How is your experience so far, nobody will care about your message at Rentalcars.com!

Booked well in advance, provided flight number as requested and paid for in full. Upon arrival at Pisa Airport we were told that they had given our car to someone else as we had been treated as a no show despite providing them with the flight number. No exchange, no help at the desk so we had to rent direct from OK Mobility. Tried to call them from the desk, put on hold then cut off after a few minutes waiting. Lots of e mails only to be to be told every time that we should have arrived on time! Appalling service, no refund and we are now £850 out of pocket. Avoid Rentalcars.com at all costs.

HORRIBLE! Do not use this company, absolute scam. After a long waiting period we got to the desk and then couldn’t even get our rental car. They were zero help and now we are not able to get money back avoid at all cost!!!

I need a car to pick up my family from the airport. I book the car. Unfortunately, a family member did have a fatal accident and ended up in a coma in the hospital. The short holiday was cancelled. Fly refunded. I call rentalcar.com them-no empathy or anything They do not refund the money. I did check and cancel it online because I do not need a car any longer. It is a miss-lead transaction, as while booking it is say free cancellation and while checking all information on their page, it is nothing about 48h before the rental period. Also my confirmation email and then the cancelation was send in foreign language(french).

Never never never ever use this company.. They are scammers. Be careful once they got your money, you will not get your money back no matter what you do. They will ask for too much information and proof until you give up and just forget about your money..please please do not deal with them

SCAM I've booked a car to greenmotion through this website, when I arrived at greenmotion's desk they asked for extra money and tried to sell me an upgrade to a bigger car for "just" 672£, I said no so they told me they can't give me the car I've booked, I've asked for a refund but they told me they can't make it, I've contacted rentalcars and they told me they can't do anything about it cause due to company policy they don't refund. So I remained with no car and no money, I ended up getting an Uber. AVOID THIS WEBSITE

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL! You might be lucky if everything will go right so there might be some happy customers but if there's any issue they way they treat customers seems to be unbelievably bad, unfair without respect. I was advised by people from renting companies that it's nothing new and that THERE ARE MANY ISSUES WITH RENTALCARS.COM They left me with small child on airport without car I paid for few months in advance and kept all money for themselves. When I called to them they made impossible to make offer where I would need to spend a night on airport really to pay them for new reservation to get money back from my first reservation. Then the next day when I wanted to clear the situation and a person I talked to didn't respond to my question and finished our conversation without any notice. There are so many companies you can use that it doesn't make sense to risk with this one. DEFINITELY AVOID!

Took the money, gave car we booked to someone else, and did not provide an exchange vehicle. Late arrival due to cancelled flight. Tried to call them but no replies. Then charged me for whole rental period. unbelievable. AVOID AT ALL COST!
