On 12 July 2023, I arrived at Centauro for my rental booking made previously through rentalcars.com, but was refused due to no credit card, despite renting with a debit card before (as per T&C's). Centauro asked me to contact you as you held the funds. I contacted your customer support 3 times on the day, and Sophia -among others- tried to resolve it with Centauro, but they all received no response. Sophia suggested rebooking with a 3-day cancellation fee, refundable after the rental. Unacceptable, given Centauro's refusal of my debit cards (Revolut and Bank of Ireland). Sophia said I could file a claim after the rental ending on July 29th. Which I am here doing now... Centauro's refusal to accept debit cards may have been influenced by discriminatory reasons related to my nationality, since they asked to see my passport first before advising whether i could have a car or not. This ruined my day and vacation plans. Cherry on the cake: rentalcars refused to refund me the booking by rejecting my bank dispute for months!!! A total fraud!!!

I have the worst ever car rental experience with them. I did my reservation through rentalcars.com to Italy Car Rent To tell you the truth, wizzair (their own partner!!!!) gave me a hint in email that I am in contract with ICR and should not be suprised if their service or policy is overpriced/rip off/bad service. Unfortunately I did not have a credit card and they had not ("could not") accept my debitcard or cash for the deposit of EUR500. They give me a UK phone number of Rentalcars to talk with my manager and of course noone answered the phone. Instead, I needed to buy a zero policy insurance for EUR 231 which would have been EUR 60 online. Thanks for ruining the first two days of my vacation with your rude attitude.

Warning for all those considering booking with this company... be very careful. The customer service is appalling. They will not issue refunds even if you are entitled to one. Go direct to the rental company - they are directly far more accommodating and have better customer service. I will never use this company again and feel totally conned by them.

Customer service is terrible. You get passed around between robotic agents. Nobody ever takes responsibility for resolving issues, either before during or after a rental. They are basically just waiting for you to get so frustrated that you give up, and too bad if they owe you a lot money.

I paid for a hire car on a car hire web site rentalcars.com. The holding fee, paid in advance, was 2,955.13 GBR. I paid for this on my credit card. The total final invoice for the whole rental period was 1,740.80 GBR. I was charged twice! When I asked for my holding fee back Europcar denied having any record of any holding fee paid in advance and told me I should refer the matter to rentalcars.com. rentalcars.com said they have no record any transaction and refused to refund the holding fee. This is a scam. DO NOT USE EUROPCAR or RENTALCARS. COM.

Do not use this company for anything! You will never get your money back and the quality of service is zero. As a customer, you are not protected. I booked a car, did not violate any rules, they canceled my booking themselves and do not want to return the money referring to their terms of use.

I was promised to get a refund for a booking that was not used, and since 2 months I have got nothing
