Very interesting result from my review of Plunge last week. Plunge responded within within hours of me writing a review of their company. The leaking issue of my chiller that started within the first few months never got close to that kind of response. The issue was never resolved, unit finally failed completely. I requested a phone call back to discuss. Certainly no response to that request! If you can’t service what you sell, you shouldn’t sell it! In their response to my review, they were supposedly going to look into my claim that I tried to get the initial leak issue resolved. That was last week, no response as of today?? Only that the unit is out of warranty today.

I bought my Plunge about two years ago because I thought I was buying one of the best cold plunges on the market. I spent the extra money AND bought the extended warranty because I wanted peace of mind. About six months ago, it quit working. Since then, it has been email after email after email. They’ve had me diagnose the unit myself, take videos, send videos, perform more tests, answer more questions, and continue going in circles. At some point I finally told them, “I’m done playing mechanic on a cold plunge. I bought an extended warranty. Send somebody out who knows how to fix it.” I was finally told that because I purchased the extended warranty, my situation would be submitted for review. I thought, FINALLY, somebody is going to handle this. Nope. Now the extended warranty process has me diagnosing the machine AGAIN and essentially asking me to become the technician, or I can spend almost $4,000 replacing the entire cooling/freezing component. My Plunge has been down for roughly SIX MONTHS. That is my experience, and people need to know it before spending this kind of money. I bought what I believed was one of the most popular premium cold plunges because I thought paying more would mean better equipment, better service, and better support when something went wrong. Instead, I have spent months getting passed around and being asked to troubleshoot a product that I specifically purchased an extended warranty to protect. DO NOT BUY A PLUNGE based on my experience. If you’re considering spending thousands of dollars on one, understand what my experience has been when mine stopped working. I didn’t buy an extended warranty so I could become their repair technician. I bought it because I expected the company and warranty provider to stand behind the product when something went wrong. Six months later, I still don’t have a working cold plunge.

John, we understand your frustration with the repair process. XCover is a separate company that administers extended-warranty claims and makes its own coverage and payment decisions. Plunge provides technical findings and repair documentation but does not control those decisions. Concerns about XCover’s claim requirements should be directed to XCover. Your review also raises concerns about Plunge’s support, and those deserve a separate response. We’re sorry the distinction between the two processes was not clearer.

Extremely Disappointing Product and Warranty Support I purchased my Plunge last Christmas, and unfortunately, the entire experience has been incredibly disappointing. Before I had even had an opportunity to use it regularly, the company reduced its prices by thousands of dollars. I contacted Plunge to ask whether they would honor any type of price adjustment, but they refused. More importantly, my unit has now been inoperable for several weeks despite having been used very little and being properly maintained. Trying to obtain warranty service has been an absolute nightmare. There is no practical way to speak directly with someone who can resolve the problem. Everything must be handled through email, resulting in endless back-and-forth correspondence with multiple representatives who repeatedly request the same information. I have provided everything they have asked for, including documentation, photographs, invoices, and answers to their troubleshooting questions. Yet weeks later, the unit still does not work, no meaningful repair has been completed, and I continue to receive the runaround. At this point, the repeated delays and duplicate requests give me the impression that the company is attempting to avoid honoring its warranty rather than genuinely working toward a resolution. A product at this price point should be supported by responsive, dependable customer service—especially when it has barely been used. I cannot recommend purchasing from Plunge based on my experience. An expensive unit is only as valuable as the company’s willingness to stand behind it, and so far, Plunge has failed to do that.

Small warehouse building with no windows with only fake plants. Small sauna and 4 cold plunge tanks. Considering the price I think it would be beneficial to replace all the plastic plants with real plants, to bring some outside to the inside, especially since there are no windows inside. I also got quite sick after. I think it was from accidentally inhaling/swallowing the cold water in the cold plunge. it must have been infected with something from someone before. And didn't seem like they change the water between guests as it was quite dirty with stuff floating in the water even before I went in the first time.

Jordyn, this review concerns a different business. Plunge is an online, direct-to-consumer retailer. We do not operate a physical retail location or a public sauna or cold-plunge facility, and our manufacturing facilities are not open to visitors. The venue and guest experience you describe are not ours. Please check the name of the facility you visited and direct your review to that business.
