Plunge products are a time tax on repairs. Are you a plumbing apprentice? If so by a Plunge.
I purchased cold Plunge approximately six years ago. Until this year, I’ve had one electrical issue which was resolved quickly. However, in September my cold Plunge ceased pumping and was leaking water. After a lot of back and forth with remote service ( no phone calls, all email ) they determined MIGHT have a bad pump. They have no comment on water leaks despite taking apart chiller to provide photos of water and rust.
Today I received a new pump to install. They treat customers as apprentice plumbers on repairs. I need to buy new tools, drain and flip tub etc with no certainty recommended pump replacement will fix my problems.
For a premium product I expect better and more personalized customer service. I might as well be working with dude in his mom’s basement ( maybe I am )
Plunge products out of warranty are a time TAX on the buyer. I would not recommend Plunge.

Unsatisfactory Plunge Customer Service and Delivery Experience
Plunge customer service has been one of the worst customer service experiences. It was impossible to reach a customer service representative to receive an accurate shipping timeline, and when I scheduled help sessions through the website, the representative did not show up on two separate occasions. Then I was notified the day before that the delivery would be the following day during a time window, then called the following morning at 6:30am that they would be arriving within an hour. Then when the delivery team arrived, they tried telling me the cold plunge wouldn't fit through the door and they'd have to leave it, without trying other measurements. I solved the problem for them after they told me delivery would require a 4-person team and they only had 2 guys, but the delivery team was very unprofessional and unhelpful. They left all the sauna pieces, complained about how heavy everything was, and Plunge was impossible to get ahold of to see when installation was scheduled. Despite paying for white glove delivery, installation was not included and booking 2 weeks out. Very poor communication between Plunge, their delivery vendor, and installation vendor. When customer service did reach out via email, they were completely unhelpful. I hope when the products are up and running, they are worth the terrible customer service experience.

Extremely Disappointed With Plunge and…
Extremely Disappointed With Plunge and Their Protection Plan
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Plunge and, in particular, how issues with my unit are being handled.
This is not the first problem I’ve had with my Plunge. I previously had an issue with the chiller breaking, which was already frustrating and required dealing with customer service and getting the issue resolved.
Now I’m dealing with another significant problem, and the way Plunge is handling it has been even more disappointing.
When I purchased my Plunge, I also purchased the XCover Protection Plan – $5,000–$7,499.99 / 5 Year, which cost me $676.99. I purchased this protection specifically for peace of mind in case something went wrong with the equipment.
Instead, I’m now being told that I need to pay approximately $3,300 out of pocket and then wait up to 25 days for XCover to handle the claim.
That is extremely frustrating. If I paid $676.99 for a five-year protection plan, I expected the process to actually provide meaningful protection when I needed it. Being asked to come up with another $3,300 myself and then wait weeks for the claim to be processed does not feel like the protection I believed I was purchasing.
Between the previous chiller failure and now this latest issue, I’m questioning the value of both the equipment and the protection plan.
I understand that insurance/protection-plan claims can have procedures and processing times, but customers should not be left in a position where they have already paid a substantial amount for protection and are then expected to front thousands of dollars while waiting weeks for the claim to be addressed.
I hope Plunge takes responsibility for helping resolve this situation rather than simply directing me to XCover. I purchased the protection plan through Plunge with the expectation that it would provide coverage when something went wrong.
At this point, I’m extremely disappointed with the product reliability, the customer service experience, and the way this protection-plan situation is being handled.

Gen 2 Pro installed — Plunge followed through
UPDATE — September 21, 2026:
I am pleased to report that Plunge has now completed the resolution described above.
The V1 Gen 2 Pro Cold Retrofit Kit arrived on September 14, and Plunge arranged for a technician to install the new system. The installation has been completed successfully.
I used the newly retrofitted Plunge this morning, September 21, and everything is working great. After approximately two months without a functioning Plunge, it was wonderful to be able to use it again.
After the difficulties described in my original review, I believe it is equally important to give Plunge credit when the company follows through. Plunge ultimately provided a meaningful resolution by upgrading my existing system to the Gen 2 Pro configuration and arranging professional installation.
I especially appreciate Kevin and the Plunge Repairs/Support team for their assistance in bringing this matter to a successful conclusion.
The long-term reliability of the Gen 2 Pro system will be determined with continued use, but as of today, the system is operating properly and my first experience with the retrofit was excellent.
I said in my original review that if Plunge completed the resolution as represented, I would gladly update my review to reflect that. They have now done so, and I am pleased to keep that commitment.

Newby taking a plunge.
Looking forward to taking my first plunge. Good information from the website and spoke to a rep to clarify things on the power requirements. Electrical isn’t too bad but you will have to call an electrician to set up properly.

Which Sauna is right for me?
I really liked how the website explained the differences in the sauna's. It helped me determine which was the best fit for me.

**Great tub, unacceptable product support**
I bought a Plunge All-In for approximately $8,000 in November 2024 and initially loved it. In July 2025, the filter housing failed and was replaced under warranty. In August 2026, the exact same part failed again—but this time Plunge refused to cover it.
Plunge proposed a $135 remote diagnostic fee, a $150 replacement part, and technician service at $185 per hour with a four-hour minimum. That meant potentially paying more than $1,000 to repair the repeated failure of the same component in a product less than two years old.
Instead, I bought the part for $150 and hired my own appliance technician. Although he had never worked on a Plunge, he completed the replacement and testing in about one hour for $225.
I rarely write complaints or public reviews, but this experience warrants one. I still like the tub, but I cannot recommend a company that will not stand behind an $8,000 premium product when the same part fails twice. I had been planning to purchase a second Plunge for another home; I am now buying from a different company.

Is the plunge.com cold tub worth the money (lol)?
I bought a Plunge in July 2022 for over $6,000 with the extended warranty — and my problems started shortly thereafter. The sad truth is that I've hardly used this thing.
Over 112 emails back and forth and here's where we stand...
(Spoiler alert - none of this has been resolved).
Numerous failures and well over a dozen support tickets. A pump that has failed four or five times in two years. Even the simple light housing failed and filled with water.
Throughout this ordeal, I continued to receive marketing emails from plunge.com about their "new and improved" V2 plunge tub in September of 2025 - while mine sat unable to be used and waiting for repair.
For anyone who purchased prior to 2026, they are essentially a beta tester for plunge.com - a research and development project in order for them to raise funds and improve their *real* product that they finally released last year.
Anyone stuck with the 1st version is an afterthought, not a priority, and is stuck with a hodge-podge, halfway glued together piece of overpriced trash.
I eventually spoke to a representative (Brian) on the phone, who was friendly, but ultimately not able to offer a resolution.
Even without being used, the cover magnets fell off. The chiller stopped being able to read its own temperature, and ran nonstop until I noticed. Which caused my energy bills to spike to a high of $722 per month.
To say this has easily, hands down, been the absolute worst consumer product and customer experience I have ever had is a wild understatement.
It's insane that I even have to explain all of this - but here's the timeline:
In April 2026 the chiller finally quit — reading 122°F while the tub sat freezing. The tub isn't even capable of heating to over 100º
Not including the prior 4-5 support cases I had already had, here is what the most recent past 6 months of "support" has looked like:
April 28th of 2026 — I open a support ticket per usual.
June 28 — After 2 months, Plunge finally confirms the chiller needs to be replaced. The case goes to their warranty team.
July 9 — I file the claim. Their portal errors out.
July 26 — They tell me my voicemail box is full and close the claim. My voicemail has never been full, and I had replied the same day. Turns out they were calling the wrong phone number.
August 9 — They send *me* an invoice and tell me to submit documents to their warranty partner? A company I had never heard of in any of my prior dealings. I still have no idea why they would be expecting me to pay for their parts failure that is already covered under the warranty I purchased.
August 20 — A Plunge rep apologizes for the runaround and promises to take it off my plate. Verbatim: "I will handle communication with our warranty partners. You won't need to submit additional forms or log into new portals." That lasted all of 5 days.
August 25 — The same warranty team tells me to "use the current documents Plunge already provided," adding that "this follow-up does not include another copy." I asked what documents. Nobody could tell me.
September 2 — They ask me to upload "the Repair Invoice and Repair Justification Statement." I asked where, and what. No response.
September 5 — They ask whether I uploaded them.
September 15 — They apologize again and repeat that they won't ask me to submit anything further.
Meanwhile their warranty chain went like this:
Plunge told me to contact Clyde.
Clyde told me to contact XCover.
XCover told me to contact Fortegra.
Fortegra told me to contact Cover Genius.
Round and round we go.
I asked someone to just simply call me.
Nobody calls.
5 different entities to replace one chiller, via a warranty I bought directly from Plunge.
They also sent me a "How would you rate the support you received?" survey while the claim sat unresolved... lol
It is now September 30th of 2026.
The claim has been open since April and "under review" since July 15.
They told me 25 business days, then explained that isn't a guaranteed timeline.
They told me the replacement arrives within two business days of "payment". What payment? Nothing has progressed. Nothing has arrived. Nobody has called. I have asked "what documents" and "who am I speaking to," in those words, repeatedly.
This entire ordeal has wasted HOURS if not days of my life, thousands of dollars, and I completely regret buying anything from this brand.
Do not buy from this company. If anything ever goes wrong, you will spend years, thousands of dollars, and hundreds of emails with incapable people and numerous affiliate companies that all agree that the success of the plunge product, and the efficiency of their customer service is not their responsibility.
If I didnt purchase the warranty, I would have effectively just lit $6K on fire.
The only positive thing I have to say about Plunge is that their technicians are very friendly and professional
