It seems that OMTech customer service is very poor in responding back after you call them and leave your phone number for a call back. Even sending an email and waiting for a response is poor. I am almost ready to ask for my money back!

The first problem was with the Laser, the Guide laser (red dot) wires were pushed (forced) in beside the pins in the power connector. Friction was all that was holding the wires. The red dot didn't work. I was moving the wires in the power compartment and noticed the red dot flash on & off. I had found the problem, I spiced the wires to the two power supply wires. I have never seen a product leave the factory this way. Second was the CW-5200 chiller. I filled it with distilled water, connected the flimsy tubes from the Laser and turned it on. It ran for 5 seconds and quit, totally dead. There is NO fuse as the manual states. After several emails it was decided it was dead. I returned it at my cost. Three, I was dumb enough to buy another CW-5200 chiller as soon as I got my refund. The display buttons won't work as instructed. I can't get the chiller in constant mode. I spent over 3 days off & on squatted on floor pushing the buttons as the manual and Omtech support instructed and finally yesterday somebody decided I knew what I was telling them (I sent pictures). The chiller has a defective thermostat/controller. I could never get it into function mode to change the settings. As of today I have a wait of 2 weeks? to receive a new thermostat that I will replace. I have 42 years in the electronics field as an engineer in maintenance of mainframe computer, PCs and all the associated equipment. I am disgusted with the 3 Omtech products that I bought are haphazardly assembled. There is NO quality control. Omtech you are telling a story when you say your products are tested and quality control has improved. I am out the cost of the first chiller return and still haven't used my laser but for maybe 45 minutes total. A few minutes at a time because of no cooling. I didn't mess with a water bucket, that is why I spent the money for a refrigeration chiller. So I now will wait for the thermostat and hope it is a good one. And the replacing it is not a 'no instruction' job. In the mean time I will play for a few minutes at a time but no real serious work until I get the chiller doing what it is supposed to do, chill the water. My experience with Omtech products have been a nightmare.

The machine works great! Was a great buy! The support however is very lacking in support! It took me three days of calling and leaving a message to finally get anyone to call back. I tried staying on the line to talk to someone but it kept cutting me off and going to leave a message. Lucky for me I was only wanting to ask a question, If I had of had a problem I would have been really mad to have had to wait so long. Your online question and answer is even worse. Once you open it you can not get rid of it. Even leaving a message there was useless. No one responded.

Ordered for a high school classroom engineering class. I have experience with Epilog which is well documented on settings for different materials and generally have small fluctuations in the epilog settings. The OmTech has been a headache. The documentation is contradicting and worthless. The physical manual claims that I should be firing the 100 watt laser at max power while the online manual claims something different, which contradicts what a friend of mine was told during a paid for webinar they did with OmTech. The base software (RDWorks) was atrocious, so we ended up spending more money on LightBurn. We've had our Epilog for over 12 years and the software that came with it was phenomenally easy to learn along with the documentation that came with it. It's making me wish we spent the extra money on something we're already familiar with, but at the savings we had, I guess I can't complain too much. Hence, the 2 stars

I love everything about my purchase and customer service. Delivery was perfect and slowly starting to learn how to use the machine. OMTech has great instruction videos and articles.

OMTech is good company. I ordered my 80w 24x35 laser with the White Glove delivery service so it would be moved into my house and uncrated. It made the delivery charge very expensive but was worth it not to have it left at the end of my driveway since it’s hard for me to get enough helpers to move it. It turned out there was a mixup with the local shipper and they don’t do White Glove service. OMTech was very apologetic and contacted me numerous times. I’m sure it was an honest mistake and the local courier probably had driver shortages. Without me asking, OMTech fully refunded all my delivery charges including the White Glove service. I’ve had my laser setup for a few months now. After doing the recommended upgrades, it’s been amazing and does everything I hoped and expected. I use it daily and love it. I would recommend OMTech Laser, and I will likely buy another from them. The 80w is a perfect starter with a good blend of engraving and cutting power. My next will be just for cutting.

Bad service.. after one month and nothing about the machine.. stupid service..
