OMTECH 55/60 watt 16-24 inch laser. The laser arrived quickly and has performed perfectly right out of the box. Any addons or modifications are strictly preference and are not required. I have been extremely pleased with the performance and condition of the machine.

A well built tool. Making a jump from from a 2.8 watt diode to a 100 watt CO2 has a learning curve, but I’m getting there!

My order arrived very quickly and was packaged well, all items were accounted for, but after connecting the exhaust and water pump, the laser itself would not turn on. I have been calling for days and listening to an automated voice tell me after 2 minutes of waiting that no one is available to take my call, I should leave a voicemail for someone to call me back. No one has called yet, getting frustrated

It took weeks of email dialogue with very clear descriptions and actual pictures of the parameter I was inquiring about before they finally told me that they couldn't supply the solution to my problem. This could have been easily stated in the initial few emails, but no, they kept giving me an answer for an unrelated parameter. I wanted the password for my machine to access the "default parameter" feature. And they kept trying to give me the password for the "default reset" feature. Okay, so YOU asked for this review by emailng me directly. I didn't go looking for this. You want the truth? This was my "experience" with customer support.

Awesome machine my only complaint would be more instructions to get started maybe a first cut project with detailed instructions but other than that so far I love it

The 80w laser was delivered and we were able to get it operational within a few hours after unpacking the crate. It is a solidly built unit. The only thing we needed to adjust were the lid sensors and align the mirrors. I am happy so far with the value we are getting at the price point of the Omtec brand.

I would love to give 4.5 stars but I can't at this time. It isn't because of the machine at all, it is because I was sent the incorrect laser. I ordered the AF2435 - 80w and received MF1220-50. I did contact customer service and they admitted their error. You are making it right, but it came at a bad time with me having to get orders completed. For anyone reading this that just ordered a machine. Do this, check the SKU number that OMTech send you, and then when the laser arrives, the SKU will be in big letters on the side of the box, if they don't match, don't sign for it.

Hey Keith, we apologize for the delayed response and for the experience you endured with your order. We see that a rep of ours reached out to help you with this and get everything resolved. If there's anything else we can do to assist you, please feel free to reach out.

I love the laser and the excellent support I received when I had a bad part problem . . . . however useful documentation and or videos for use, maintenance and calibration is lower than minimal to nothing at best. I had to search the internet on competitors websites to find good detailed information on set-up and calibration of my NEW OMTECH 80W laser. The opportunity to excel is present OMTECH just needs to put forth the effort to provide the initial and educational support for their products. Purchasing tech time to solve set up and calibration of a brand new laser is an under-handed way to make more money off a customer and that is just taking advantage of a new customer ultimately driving them away. Great product that needs some HUGE definite improvements on documentation.
