Very expensive MyZone switch only lasted 2 and a half years and customer services really don’t care!

Hi Matthew,
We're really sorry to hear about your experience with the MyZone Switch and the service you received — that’s not the standard we aim for. We understand how frustrating it is when a product doesn’t last as expected, especially one you’ve invested in.
We’d genuinely like to look into this further and try to make it right. Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] so we can assist you personally.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Please don't waste your money
Please don't waste your money. I bought the device mainly for my Blaze classes and its done nothing but infuriate and distract me from the class. I had issues with it after 5 months, it would lose signal after 15 minutes of a class or not connect. I was told I need to clean it more regular, I ended up cleaning it after every use with a cotton bud to get into every part of it. It still kept losing signal, I was then told it needed charging which I knew it didn't but I tried to keep it at least 50% charged for each class, this made no difference. I've really tried to persist with it as I do think it is a good idea when it works but I find the class is so much better without it, I spend so long trying to get it to connect or messing with the band or asking in the class if I can be put back on the board that it's ruining the classes for me and increasing my stress levels. Those 3 little beeps is the sound of nightmares!

Don't honour their warranty
I bought the myzone sports bra accessory for my wife from myzone via Amazon market place for Christmas, shortly after starting to use it, the heart rate monitor component started to become unstuck. The myzone website states that the product has a 3 month warranty period, the return window on Amazon has closed so I contacted support to be told that the warranty is only honoured if bought through myzone and not via Amazon (despite being sold by myzone on Amazon market place). I assumed myzone to be a reputable company given their affiliation with David Lloyd where I was initially introduced to the product, however the support they offer is not what you would expect from a company that backs the quality of their own products. And it would appear they will try and get out of honouring their warranty if they think they can get away with it.

Crap support - Really liked the Belt and App but when…
Really liked the Belt and App but when after a few years it the unit became problematic , they did not know how to transfer it were not helpful in transferring my unit and I lost my status of platinum due to unhelpful chat in app and through website . I don’t want to have to work for those 14 months again . Crap

Myzone – how to wreck a great product
My husband and I have been using MyZone MZ-3s since 2019.
One of the main attractions of the product (device and app) was the on-board storage and ability to work without a permanent internet connection. The squash court in our local gym has no internet connection, neither wi-fi nor mobile phone signal.
Up to the last iterations of version 2 of the app, although it was necessary to have an internet connection to log in to the app initially, thereafter, even with no internet connection, the app would continue to display, and more importantly, record heart rate and zone data, which could then be manually uploaded completely once an internet connection was available.
Version 3 of the app breaks this, by requiring a constant internet connection. MyZone's help page makes this clear, stating that data loss will occur if the internet connection is lost, even though the MZ-3 has local storage.
We therefore continued to use the last iteration of version 2 of the app but support for it will end mid-February 2025 and it will no longer work.
This makes the product totally useless.
To downgrade a product in this way smacks of either arrogance or stupidity, neither of which inspire confidence in the company. This is symptomatic of scrip-kiddie programmers who do not live in the real world, where a permanent internet connection is not guaranteed.
This is doubly frustrating as I have just ‘wasted’ £55 buying a MZ-Switch a couple of weeks ago, so we now have three useless devices.
Previously I was happy to recommend the MyZone system to friends but my only advice now will be to avoid it completely.

Poor Quality
People, please please don't spend out on these devices, especially the switch!! I have just binned my 3rd device. Same thing every time as soon as the device is out of warranty 12 months, it starts to play up. Won't hold charge, drops out of signal and eventually doesn't even turn on. They are non serviceable(can't replace battery) so once it's done that's it!! My zone clearly don't invest in products, Customer service is appalling. Also if your an avid trainer and push for the status goals they then remove these for inactivity(In my case caused by surgery and recovery time) it spits in your face for all the effort you put in to achieve these statuses. Also the gym screen consistantly freezes and when you reset it blanks out part of your work out. Over priced unreliable and poor customer service.
