There must be 15-20 different medical alert companies like Medical Guardian if you search the web. After an extensive review of each company it was a no brainer - I chose Medical Guardian. I feel confident that if any event were to occur I would get the help I need.

Every 23-36 hours the guardian needs to be put back into the charger for 4 hours. Because of the discomfort of arthritis, my body requires me to get up and move around at least every two hours including through the night. Thus, while the device is in the charging station, for 4 hours each 24-36 hour period, there is no alert button available in case of a fall or a medical emergency. A backup alert button should be offered so I can always have a device that is fully charged. The monthly rental price is certainly steep enough that a 2nd backup device should be included.
